Hello grads!... I'm sorry that I missed the checkin last week. My mother has been really unwell, and a lot of my tasks have been falling through the cracks while I try to take care of her. But on to happier things! How are you all doing?

I am 10w3d here. A 1/4 of the way through the pregnancy. Nothing really to report but just horrible exhaustion and back aches. I am ready to be out of the first trimester so I can breath easier. I have take the MaterniT21 test on the 21 at my 12 week appointment.

QOTW: Oh no doubt. The Challenger Hellcat. I will be utilizing that black key for that 700hp engine. They are beautiful classic American Muscle and are just how I love my men. Very strong and sexy and does wonders to a woman.

you will be amazed how great you feel in the second tri just by comparison. So excited for you!

@GoldenKeys Thank you for finding the time to post despite your mother's illness. It must be a stressful time for you. I hope it gets better soon.

I'm approaching 35 weeks and still have to order *a bunch* of stuff and get prepared -- we are not remotely ready. We've been having a really hectic few months, with moving apartments on short notice due to a mold problem (and staying in various hotels while searching for a new place), while buying a fixer-upper and me also defending (finally) my PhD. But we have met with a doula, who has sent me a bunch of information, and have researched a lot of basic equipment (breast pumps, strollers, etc.). We're also reading a book on the baby's first year, recommended by my OB. We still have to get to a baby care class (including CPR). I am getting the TDaP vaccine tomorrow and then I have a growth ultrasound on Monday and appointments start every week. I have a college friend visiting over the weekend and my parents will be in town the following weekend. Feeling a bit overwhelmed (and huge) but mostly ok. I'm just hoping everything goes well with the delivery, that the baby is healthy, and that we get into the parenting swing of things well.

It's great to see the new grads posting in the P>35 board. Hope to see many more of you over there in the next few weeks.

QOTW: Dream car is definitely the Tesla, driven on beautifully paved highways across the country. In the city, I'd much rather walk. The drivers here are completely insane.

@hooligans4 Oh, I am so jealous!! One, your friend is getting one. Two, you get to ride in it. The Hellcat is one sexy beast.

@rspalding001 I am hoping to get that 2nd trimester spurt of energy. It is different being pregnant in your mid 30s compared to your early 20s. Plus, I am working this time around instead of a SAHM/Student. LOL How are you doing?

@sonpetitlapin I'm doing good under the circumstances, just have this nasty cough & sore throat that won't go away and I think I gave it to my daughter
