Am I the only one

that isn't stressing about no signs of labor yet?! I'm 36 weeks tomorrow, no signs of labor, & I'm not stressing about that at all! In fact I'm happy about it! A LOT can happen in a month & my LO has a lot of developing left to do! He can wait 4, 5, even 6 more weeks as long as he is healthy when he does decide to arrive!

Re: Am I the only one

  • I'm right there with you. I also feel like I'm the only one on this board NOT hoping for an early arrival. I really don't mind being pregnant and still have 3.5 weeks til his due date. And I'm perfectly fine waiting til then to meet him.

  • I'm perfectly fine with baby waiting until due date (May 14). DH, on the other hand, is a little more anxious for baby to come. Haha.

Consider yourselves lucky! I have labor signs left and right that I wish weren't there. I don't have the luxury to not stress.

Edited: sorry to be a Debbie downer! Glad you are having a stress free last few weeks!!
  • I want LO to cook as long as possible. I will work until week 37/38, whenever I finish my paperwork. Then I really want some time to relax and prepare after the craziness of leaving my job. I want to make the baby blankets I've bought fabric for. I want to enjoy a good book and snoozing in my lawn chair and hanging out with my mom. Just a few weeks is all I want.
  • I've just been having Braxtonhicks contractions quite a bit.
  • You're not the only one.. I would love for her to be born already but the longer she stays in the better and I know that just cause nothing is happening now doesn't mean it's never happening
  • I don't think there's a single lady out there who wants the baby to come early with the risk of any issues.  Everyone I've read about stressing or complaining is simply extremely uncomfortable.  Be happy you're still in the minority and not that uncomfortable yet or in pain (me too - thankfully!!)
  • I felt the same as you the first time around. I was going to be a FTM, and the preggnancy was basically a breeze. Why rush to the crying baby part? He stayed in me 2 weeks past my due date and I didn't mind one little bit. I was pretty nervous about being a mom though. Thankfully he was the easiest baby I've ever met. This time around I want her to gtfo of my uterus. I'm sick and tired of being pregnant :P Just worried it won't be so easy this time. I want her to be born right at the 36w mark which is in a week. Not doing anything to induce labor besides wishful thinking.
  • I would actually love for this little lady to wait until her due date (my birthday)! DH will be away from home until right around that day so I will patiently wait for her arrival,

DD1 was a preemie and Even though she didn't have NICU time, she was a tiny 4lb11oz. It would be nice to deliver a healthy baby with DH there to hold my hand and encourage me.

No signs of labor at 32 weeks. Just a very active little gymnast/MMA fighter/cirque du soleil performer. :)
  • I'm extremely uncomfortable some days, but still happy to wait until my May 12 due date because I'm hopeful that will minimize complications. As a FTM I also could use an extra couple of weeks to get things in order. I need to finish the nursery, wash baby clothes and bedding, pack hospital bags, decide if I want a doula and interview people, install the car seat base, make an Amazon order of "undercarriage" recovery items, finish some house projects and wrap things up at work. I'm sure I'm missing things and that there will never be enough time, but I am happy to wait.

I think this is EXACTLY it! I've definitely been one complaining about being uncomfortable I here. I have no desire to have my little guy arrive earlier then his due date. As a FTM, I still have a lot to do to prepare.
