pelvic pressure/pain, swollen lady parts (it's the worst
We have an appointment tomorrow. We are going every 2 weeks! At the last us both girls were head down so I'm praying they stay that way so I can deliver vaginally.
@vflor87 my Dr. said that I can use the one at the hospital. It's like a $3,000 breast pump and I heard it's pretty much the best thing ever! Just in case they have to go to the NICU then you'll want to pump. That's just going off what my Dr. said, I'm a FTM so I do not have any experience with it.
I'm am taking 12 weeks off. Thankfully I'll be covered 100% the entire 12 weeks thanks to short term disability.
Twin Type (Identical/Fraternal/etc): Fraternal boy and girl
Symptoms: a bit of pressure but feeling pretty good.
Appointment AW: ultrasound this Friday
Questions/Comments/Complaints/Concerns: my maternity tops are all getting too short bc the bump is growing like mad.
GTKY : How much time are you taking off from work? I'm going to be a stay at home mom. I work for myself as an interior designer so I might pick up some jobs here and there if I get bored. My husband has 3 months paid paternity leave so he is taking the whole summer off ( yay canada)
Appointment AW: nothing until next week! Thursday OB, Friday ultrasound.
Questions/Comments/Complaints/Concerns: wondering how many twin mamas actually make it to 38 weeks, should I be more worried about a May baby? Does anyone have their hospital bag packed and ready to go?
GTKY: I'm a SAHM so time off doesn't exist but hubby is taking 2 weeks off. I'm excited for the summer though because my older girl is finally big enough for the playground and splash parks. Planning to do a lot of getting out of the house!

I feel like I've met sooo many twin parents the past little while, every single one of them ( at least 12 women) have said they went into labor themselves at 35 weeks... Which scares me. I'm going to try to pack my bags today. We joined a multiple association and everyone of the people hosting the meeting also went into labor at 35 weeks- One made it to 36 week
Twin Type (Identical/Fraternal/etc): fraternal girls
Symptoms: headaches, pelvic pressure, back pain, horrible charlie horses and get tired super fast
Appointment AW: I'm at mine right now waiting for dr. Just had my u/s. Baby A is 3 pounds 7 ounces and baby B is 3 pounds 12 ounces. Growing great! They measure 30w3d and 31w1d. I'm 30w2d.
Questions/Comments/Complaints/Concerns: Anyone heard of the twin z pillow? I've heard amazing things about it and am thinking of buying it. I will be breastfeeding.
GTKY : How much time are you taking off from work? I took 10 weeks with ds and I plan to do the same again. If possible I'll be dropping down to just part time though so we don't have to pay for 3 in daycare. DS is 2.5 years old.
@tdotson0722 ugh I'm sorry you're on bed rest I feel like my co-workers, family and people at the gym think I should be on bed rest but thankfully the doctor does not! I would die on bed rest! Will you be on it for the rest of pregnancy?
@mamameghan I've felt the urge to pack my bag and told DH to please get the car seats out of the boxes. I even bought a comfy long nursing pj top for the hospital. I feel like this pregnancy and having twins is finally starting to become a reality for me and I had a little panic attack about it. Lol

I've outgrown most of my maternity shirts, too! Wasted investment lol I have to wear my husband's shirts or tunics/sweater dresses. My hips must be growing too because my leggings are way too tight, too
I have my hospital bag mostly packed. We don't live too far from the hospital, though. We're still one carseat short for the twins, buy once we get to the 32 week mark we'll leave everything by the front door so it's ready to go.
I'm not a FTM but this twin business has me feeling like one! I have no idea what to expect with labor.
@jjvanwagner25 yeah I probably will be on bedrest until delivery! It's modified and not strict so I can still get up. @Emilywooddesign I am having a csection and it wasn't an option.
Has anyone else decided to go with a c section? Were you given the option?
We haven't been given an option. Twin A is head down, B is breech and a little bigger. We're waiting to see how growth goes the next few weeks before we talk more about birth options. Our first was natural so the idea of a c section is a little intimidating but ultimately we want to do whatever is safest for the twins.
Has anyone else decided to go with a c section? Were you given the option?
My doctor is going to let me deliver vaginally if the girls both stay head down. If they aren't then we'll do a c section no matter what. She said there is no reason to risk it, plus could you imagine delivering one vaginally and the second via c section?

That would be terrible, my vagina is frowning just thinking about it.

I know!!! Why don't they make stuff longer?? My belly isn't freakishly big ( yet) I got a lot of casual basics from the gap so hopefully I can wear them after babies and they will look ok.
I'm outgrowing all of my shirts too! At 28 weeks I was already measuring 36 weeks. She said that was normal for twins. Don't wanna spend a lot of money on new clothes for this short amount of time.
@vflor87 My braxton hicks are definitely stronger. My doctor told me to get a maternity support belt for the pain. She said it would help lots. However the one they make for moms with twins, I can't get where I live. I'd have to go on a 3 hour round trip to order it, then wait a few weeks for it to come in. At this point it wouldn't be worth it to spend that money on it to wear it for like 2 or so weeks. I have a smaller one that will work for now.
