    2. TTC #1 9 months

    3. Same old.  Been kinda bad about temping this month. Also falling off the wagon on herbs too.

    4. pretty sure Im 12 dpo. Think AF is on her way. boo.

    5. discouraged. As I am each month around this time.  Yesterday I said maybe we should just give up. And then my husband said, what does that mean, and I'm like I really don't know.  Just stop trying to track everything and still hope? I don't know. Move on to more aggressive medical intervention?  Just seems like so much money. I really just don't know what to think or do.

Well, March is my favorite month of the year because of March Madness, so I'm sad it ended and was even sadder that Duke won. I looove basketball. I mostly play soccer at this point.

  • @Dwmmwd I'm sorry :(. It's very hard to be let down month after month. Sometimes an RE consult is helpful, even if you don't go through with anything.

    1.kindershlitz/Michigan

    2. TFAS since August '13

    3. Natural cycles- have decided ivf in August if unsuccessful, two years of trying (hopefully DHs job stays strong, it can get scary sometimes) our ivf orientation was Monday and it was helpful, yet realistic.

    4. About 7dpo, cycling with @Guennie

    5. Meh. Timing was good but have said that before.

My favorite collegiate team is the MSU Spartans (I'm an alum and my DH is a wolverine so that makes it kind of fun). Professionally, I like all the local Detroit teams, especially the Tigers and Lions (lovable losers). I used to like jogging but that was several pounds ago.
  • 1. efhoping2010, WY

    2. Since miscarriage and D&C surgery May 2012, IVF/ICSI is our only option because of DH's dx.

    3.  IVF/ICSI #4 with a fresh PESA for DH and then CCS testing and later FET at the "big clinic".

    4.  On stim day 10 with daily monitoring us/ and b/w for IVF/ICSI #4 and feeling bloated and nauseous, I am on 450 iu total daily so that might be why!  So far about 8 follicles total growing, we had hoped for 12 but with DOR I will take what I can get..  I might trigger tonight but more likely tomorrow night with ER on 4/11.  DH might not have his PESA since he misunderstood that he needed a pre-op physical and bloodwork with the infertility urologist in Denver.  My clinic called me frantic yesterday saying he has to do this so he is driving 6.5 hours here today and hopefully they can accomplish everything in time.  They are making us sign an egg freezing consent form in case DH cannot have his PESA but that is basically catastrophic for my few eggs and age.  Praying this all goes forward and we have embryos this weekend not just eggs.

    5. Trying not to stress about the above.  Trying to be positive for my 8 potential eggs.  Trying not to be upset over paying even more for last minute stims since I only had ten days worth and tomorrow is day 11.

  • FX it all goes smoothly @efhoping2010 !
  • 1. BulgariHeart. Bi-coastal.

    2. This should have been cycle #2 of TTC baby #1 but DH has been asking to pospone by a few months for work-related reasons.... ugh. So we compromised and agreed to start TTC after our anniversary. I'm going to keep posting, if you all don't mind. I will not stop charting and temping and would love to continue participating...

    3. I'll be doing the usual. BBT, OPKs, CM and the latest addition, Evening Primrose Oil. Only I will keep taking the oil past O since I won't be trying to get pregnant.

    4. Currently waiting to O. I should be close, like in the next 2-3 days.

    5. Bummed but oh well. Summer is close enough!

    QOTW: not a sports person!
    Anniversary
  • Hi Ladies!

    1. Jill from NC

    2. TTC #1 for 2 years now

    3. Temping/charting, OPKs, prenatals, inositol supplements, CoQ10, Flaxseed oil, vitamin E, Vitex, teas, etc.

    4. If I did O, I'm currently at 5dpo. I had all the signs for O but sometimes my body tricks me and it doesn't actually happen. Have been taking crinone (progesterone suppositories) for 5 days now and I can definitely feel it (tender breasts, cramps, headaches, etc.).

    5. I'm more hopeful than my past few cycles as I feel about 90% sure that I did O but we didn't get in as much BD time as I would've liked (only the day before O and the day of O) - mainly because it was so late in my cycle I was kind of giving up that week. But H's sperm count is very strong so if I did actually O, I think we still have a good chance. I wish the 2ww was only one week!!

I don't like sports and I've never been good at them.

@Dwmmwd - I know that feeling of wanting to give up all too well. It happens almost every cycle and I too don't know what to do next (stop tracking cycle? Drugs? More tests? Ugh). I have no answers but just know that I'm in the same boat.

@kindershlitz - good luck this cycle! Fingers crossed for you :-)

@efhoping2010 - I really hope the timing works out and you get everything done in time.

@BulgariHeart - I know how hard it is to put things on pause for a while. I feel that staying connected with the community is a great way to still keep that hope alive.

Best of luck this cycle everyone!!

    2. TTC #1, This is my very first cycle TTC!

    3. Charting, temping, OPKs, vitamins + living as cleanly as humanly possible.

    4. Day 1. Never been so excited to see AF.

    5. Incredibly excited and anxious - I don't know how I'm going to make it given that I'm this excited and anxious and we just started TTC. I'm going to have to get some hobbies and/or major TV binge-watching options.

QOTW: I'm a big college basketball fan so the past month has been fun - we're a Duke and UVA household so at least one of us (my husband) is very happy right now.

@Dwmmwd I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for you - I know you'll figure it out.

@kindershlitz Best of luck - I'm pulling for you! (thank you for posting this check-in!)

@efhoping2010 Wow, I really hope things go smoothly for you!

@BulgariHeart It's so hard not being on the same page. I have faith that your compromise will bring you both the best!

@jilligan14 I'm sending good, good vibes your way!!

  • Guennie from SC

Still hoping for #2 despite my h saying he doesn't want to try again.

Temping and charting, paying attention to cm and occasionally checking cervix. I tried to give h the heads up when I thought it was a risky time so he could make a choice about being careful.

My cycle has been so hard to track this time. Thought I was about to O then thought maybe not, then thought maybe I did then thought maybe not...it's just been crazy. I am now guessing after much much scrutiny that I am 6dpo. I originally guessed O was CD17 but I had a questionable temp on CD18 and a definite rise on CD19. So if my temp was actually lower on CD18 that would be enough of a jump for me to believe O. All of this could be utter nonsense of course if I'm having an anovulatory cycle, which I've never charted so I don't know what it would look like.

I'm currently feeling like this is the last cycle I will let myself hope. My h has not been careful the past couple times and I don't know if he just thought the risky time was over or he stopped paying attention. We have not communicated well about any of this and I know that's partly my fault. If it were to happen I wouldn't want him to think I told him the wrong time it was risky and then let him not be careful when it was. It's been very confusing and frustrating trying to guess O and trying to be honest with him, all the while wanting to still have hope.

Having said all of that, I have now found two four leaf clovers, which also happened before I conceived my daughter. My heart wants to see this as a hopeful sign. I don't want to be crushed at the end of this cycle so I'm trying to let it be. I wished for whatever is best for my family instead of wishing for another baby.

QOTW: I did not grow up with sports so I have never been a huge fan of anything, but my h got me watching FC Barcelona and I have come to be a fan myself. My favorite players are Messi and Alves.
Me:41, DH:41 Positive for MTHFR mutations- one copy C677T, one copy A1298C. One daughter born on Thanksgiving in 2013. Six losses.
  • @Dwmmwd I hope you're wrong about af!
@kindershlitz still keeping fx for you!!
    @efhoping2010 good luck!
@BulgariHeart I'm sorry you have to put things on hold, I hope the time will go by quickly.

  • 1. Rita from CA

    2. TTC #2 since Fall 2014

    3. Currently not doing anything but will probably just do OPKs liek before once my next cycle starts.

    4. Since my MC a week and a half ago the bleeding has stopped and I'm feeling pretty normal. I took a pregnancy test to see about the HCG and am still getting a positive so the hormone levels are not back down to zero yet. Ill test again this weekend to monitor the HCG and make sure it gets back down to where I get a negative test at least.

    5. Feeling pretty good, hopeful that things will work out next time. Also thinking that if they don't 1 and done might not be the end of the world, so just trying to be relaxed about it mostly.

QOTW: If I had to pick a sport I guess Id pick either Rugby or Hockey since they are fast and I don't get too bored, ha ha ha. not really a big sports girl.
  • 1. Your Name or Screen Name (not full names) and State you are from.
    Heather, MN

    2. How long have you been TTC? Are you TTC #1,#2,#3, etc.?
    TTC #2, 7 medicated cycles

    3. What are you doing this cycle? Are you seeking help with a fertility specialist (RE)? If so, what stage are you in? Charting/temping? Testing? Medicated cycles? IUI? IVF? DE?
On a break, but continuing with no alcohol (I had one beer after my last BFN) and limiting soda (I've had a few since the BFN, but need to get a grip on that soon), and my supplements - CoQ10, Vit E, Vit C.  Also starting a weight loss program to shed some extra pounds.  May as well take advantage of my break.

    4. Where are you in your cycle? (Waiting to O, 2WW etc) If in the 2ww when will you test?
    CD 10 of a usually 32 day cycle - it's DRAGGING!!!

QOTW: NCAA just wrapped up and baseball is underway...which is your favorite sports team (school or professional)? or what's your favorite sport to play or watch?  I LOVE baseball.  I'm so excited for our home opener next week!  Go Twins!!!!

Feel free to add any vents or shout outs.
VENT - I wish my RE had just prescribed BCPs because currently my face looks like a thirteen year olds.  I have actual ACNE, not just a few pimples.  It's all bumpy and gross.  My daughter keeps poking it because she can't figure out why I have "owies" all over my face.  :(

@Dwmmwd - I know how you're feeling.  Hang in there.  I want to give up at times every cycle.  *HUGS*
@kindershlitz - my fingers are crossed for you to get your BFP soon!!!  :)
@efhoping2010 - I hope everything works out.  Try not to stress (easy for me to say!).  Good luck!!
@BulgariHeart - I'm glad you and your DH could come to a compromise.  I'm sorry that means you have to wait to TTC.
@jilligans14 - I hope this is your month and your O date is correct.  Especially since you're using that expensive progesterone!!!
@MissusMeagan - Congratulations on CD1 of cycle one.  I don't blame you for being excited!!!  May your BFP come soon!!
@Guennie - my heart aches for you.  I just hope this is your cycle.  The four leaf clovers give me chills.  Fingers crossed.
@rspalding001 - I hope your HCG returns to zero soon.  Your relaxed attitude is inspiring.  I wish I could be that way.  :(

I think I got everyone.  Good luck everyone.  I'm just sitting over here on my bench, waiting for some BFPs.

  • OldNell, PA

TTC number 1 since January of 2014.

Had initial testing with RE. No identifiable issues. Charting, temping, opks. Will continue for a few more months before considering next steps.

I'm CD4. Will test on the 20th, which is a day or two short of my usual LP, but also my husband's birthday so I'm tearing on the off chance something shows up.

    5. I felt really hopeful a few days ago but it has been a hard week at work and we had a death in the family and I am feeling just generally down and discouraged. Stressed out - I have had 2-3 glasses of wine each night for the last few nights, which might have helped me get to sleep initially but leads to waking up in the middle of the night and also hasn't made me feel any better about any of it. I'm going to knock that off tonight.

QOTW: I'm not a big sports person but I really like going out to a baseball game. It just feels good to be out there and makes watching every more fun. Plus, ballpark food!

    5. I'm still kind of blah, but not as much this cycle.  I think temping does help me because I can see what is actually happening.

QOTW: NCAA just wrapped up and baseball is underway...which is your favorite sports team (school or professional)? or what's your favorite sport to play or watch?
I'm not a big sports fan so I really don't get into it.  H watches all of them and I usually just sit there and play on my phone. :)

Feel free to add any vents or shout outs.
@Dwmmwd - keep your chin up, my fingers and toes are crossed for you
    @efhoping2010 - good luck!

Big 'ol vent - So I seized the engine up on my car yesterday.  Thankfully H is pretty easy going and was upset at first but then like, whatever stuff happens and thankfully you weren't in an accident or anything.  So, now looking to see if we can get a new car - what fun.

  • @efhoping2010 - yikes that sounds stressful! I hope the timing all worked out for you. Keep us posted! There are so many complexities to each step of the ivf process that it is challenging to keep on top of everything that needs to be accomplished (and that is coming from an obsessive planner)

@dwmmwd - so sorry you are getting discouraged. It is a tough journey. Hang in there.

@MissusMeagan - excited for the start of your ttc journey! Hope its short though :)

@BulgariHeart - sounds like a good compromise, It is hard to be patient though! Fortunately time seems to fly by way to fast these days...

    @suzieq1978 - bummer about your car :(

@jilligan14 - day before and day of sounds like great timing! Fingers crossed!

    4. 4 days post retrieval. We passed the day 3 criteria so they are continuing to grow to day 5. On day 3 we still had all 15 that were fertilized. 8 of them were considered really good (8 cells and high quality ratings - 1s and 2s). The remaining 7 - some had 3, 6 or 10 cells and quality ratings varied between 1-3.

    5. Just keeping my fingers crossed and holding my breath each update day. We get a 5 day report tomorrow. There is typically a 50% attrition rate between day 3-5 so just reminding myself of that before the update tomorrow.

    2nd cycle TTC #1

Continuing to chart/temp. Doing cheapie OPKs this time after blowing through a box of digitals last cycle with no +s.

    CD6, waiting to O

Feeling nervous about this cycle since my first charted LP was only 7 days. Hoping that was just a post BCPs fluke (this will be my 6th month since quitting them). Also hoping to get real crosshairs on FF instead of the dashed ones.

QOTD: I absolutely love Cardinals baseball. Excited to see what this season will bring and hoping to make it to a few games at least.

@MissusMeagan Isn't it exciting? I know exactly how you feel. I've been putting all my energy into learning as much as I can.

  • I feel like I'm always late on the weekly check-ins, but hi! It's my fourth wedding anniversary today!

    1) Stairbear, age 38, in CT

    2) TTC #2

3+4) Still waiting for my cycles to return. I went to the doctor and she said she expected it would be 2-4 weeks. That was 8 weeks ago. Yesterday I called and they said I should come in for bloodwork. I came in today and they said a) the woman who draws the blood was on her lunch hour, and b) they'd get a more accurate reading for the hormones they were checking if the blood draw were before 10 am. Um... thanks for telling me! Grrr. Oh well, I'll go next week. It feels good that at least I have an action I can take (get blood drawn).

    5) Getting more and more impatient as I wait for AF to return. Have tried to cut way down on nursing my little one, but still nothing.

QOTW: I'm a big sports person -- used to be a distance runner, and have covered a bunch of Olympic Games as part of my job. March Madness is always fun to watch from the couch! For pro sports, I'm a Boston girl -- Sox, Pats, etc.
Happy almost weekend and good luck to you all -- following all your progress!

Fly106 from PR. We've been trying to conceive #1 since July 2012.
Just had IUI #2 last Wednesday, so I'm currently in 2WW. Supposed to test on the 24th.
I'm trying to be positive about this cycle but find myself thinking this won't be it. The whole process has been a lot different than last and although that should be a good thing since our first try didn't work, conditions don't seem to be too promising.
Didn't feel much while taking 100mg of Clomid for 5 days (last time nipples were really sensitive), had US on CD 13 and only had growing follies on my right ovary. Sizes were 13,14 and 20. So in my mind, only the 20 was viable. Trigger shot the next morning, didn't feel anything (last time I had pressure and was peeing a lot). IUI day, I still hadn't ovulated, follies hadnt grown, my DH had SA and his count had lowered (7M, 10% motility and 4% morphology prewash) (7.2 M, 20% motility post wash). RE said that it was low but that that was the reason why we were doing IUI in the first place. I do understand that but I feel discouraged. On our first we had 15 M count, 71% motility post wash, 4 mature follies and it still didn't work. To top it all off, haven't felt anything since we had the procedure. Just started progesterone 2 times a day yesterday so we'll see how that goes.
Maybe I'm being too pessimistic. Maybe I'm trying to not get my hopes up so I won't be more disappointed than the last time...

I'm sorry I'm venting so much...

Not into sports that much but DH is a sports freak. A lot of basketball at our home

  • @FLY106 I'm sorry you aren't feeling very hopeful. I understand wanting to feel all the things you felt last time but you just never know. I hope you will be very pleasantly surprised despite the seemingly low odds, I will keep FX for you!!

  • @FLY106 - I know how it can feel when things aren't lining up how they should and symptoms/feelings are different or non-existent. Just remember that life can sometimes surprise us and that there's no way of knowing if something did or didn't happen until AF shows up. I'm rooting for you!

  • @FLY106 & @efhoping2010 - l'll be thinking of you ladies today and hoping for good results for both of you.
    TTC #1 since January 2014
  • @efhoping2010 - relieved you were able to complete your husbands appt in time. I hope you get a positive update today!

@FLY106 - hang in there. It is a really frustrating process. I found injectables with TI or IUI to be a bit frustrating. I never felt like i fully could get a handle on what was going on and what my chances were. Will be thinking of you and hope you get good results!

I received my day 5/6 update this weekend. We had 15 on day 3, but took a big hit getting to blastocyst. We had 3 remaining that met biopsy and freeze criteria. I was mentally prepared for a 50% loss, but that was quite a bit more! Our remaining blasts are graded 5AB, 5BC, and 6BB. Now we wait for PGS testing - going to be a long week and half! I am not going in with super high expectations. The stats from our genetic counselor for submitting 3 embryos are a 61% chance that one is normal. Better than 50/50 but not by much... :)
