5w5d early ultrasound

I had a miscarriage last year at 7 weeks I am now 5w5d and I'm getting an early ultrasound done tomorrow and I know you can't see much but I'm wondering if any mommas have had ultrasounds this early and seen at least the heartbeat? I really just wanna think positive. We weren't trying this time so I can't help but think gods giving us a good surprise <3 I've been taking it very easy. Have had some light cramps but nothing serious feels like period cramps. They come and go.

    Hey,
    I miscarried in November 2014 and I'm now 5 wks 2days and have a early scan April 14th. I will be a little over 6 weeks.They said I couldn't do it any sooner as it's usually not possible to see anything at 5 weeks. They may be able to see the sac at 5 weeks. Good luck

    Mine was January 2014 :(. Thanks! I meant to say I will be 5w5d tomorrow. Will be 6 weeks Thursday.

    In your fifth week, you could see a gestational sac maybe. Towards the end of the week, you may see a fetal pole, but may not. If you google it, there's a calculation for the size of the sac and length of the pole by how many days along you are.

    I googled it and it said at the end of week 5 it is possible to see cardiac activity. My miscarriage at 6 weeks showed where I had a fetal pole and no progress. I just hope to see more than last time.

    With one of my successful pregnancies I went in at 6 weeks and could see the sac and the start of the fetal pole. Went in less than a week later and we baby with heartbeat. So go in with an open mind, knowing you likely won't see much. And be sure to schedule a follow up so you can see the growth! :)

    I had my early scan today (5w4d). I saw the gestational sac and yolk sac. The doctor seemed happy with that and he pointed out where the baby will be so he may have started to see a little more. Good luck!

    I miscarried Nov 2014 at 9weeks with twins, and am 5w6d and having my first scan tomorrow. I am not sure how every one else is coping after miscarring but am finding this an extremely anxious time but all we can do is wait and be positive, let us know how u go Good Luck gor Thursday

    I am going tomorrow as well and will be 5w5d I am glad I am not alone! Hope everything is good for you tomorrow.

    I couldn't agree more! I miscarried in December at 6w5d so I'm a nervous wreck. Unfortunately my first u/s isn't until April 17. Trying to think positive until then!! Good luck tomorrow!

    I had one done at 5w5d. Couldn't see or hear the heartbeat that early.

    Waiting to see the doctor for my blood work results on Thursday so hoping to book an early scan then.
    Sorry to hear about your loss @Baby+Kate and please keep us informed after your scan but hoping that all goes well! I had an ectopic around 7 years ago and this is my next pregnancy after that so feeling anxious as well but praying and trying to keep calm and relaxed...

    A h&h 9 months to us all! >:D<

    Having a miscarriage makes every pregnancy scary. I am waiting to see the doc now. Good luck to you lovely ladies!

    A little I'm still a little jittery but it helped when she assured me she wouldn't see much before she even did the ultrasound. It's easier when you have nice doctors. Thank you all for the positive vibes and kind words! I will stay updated on here

    Yes it's still a worrying time, I have my 6 week scan next Tuesday and I'm terrified! Normally when I have miscarried before it's been around this time every time. Fingers crossed! Xx

    I had my first us yesterday!! Yes we were able to count a heartbeat, I believe it was 108? And we could see a cute little white spec:) Congrats and good luck!

    I misscaried November 2014 at 6w now I'm 5w 2d and I'm finding it very nerve-racking just anxious I was going to wait till 7w to go to the doctor but after reading everyone story im thinking I should go early!

    Hey! Gonna be honest with you I'm kind of wishing mine would have been later. I am comforted knowing I'm so early that it's hard to see anything but at the same time I know if my first ultrasound would have been at 7 weeks I could have seen more and possibly been less worried. I have a long week ahead of me!

    I had an early ultrasound today at 6 weeks and we could see the heartbeat! Everything looked great. They said at 6 weeks you can see the sac and maybe the heartbeat. Maybe we got lucky but you are not to far behind me. Good luck!

    Cool I just asked a question on having a ultrasound at 5 weeks. I was able to view the sacks and my doctor was able to check their size but no heartbeat could be heard.

    Twins develop differently as well but 5 weeks is early. Just stay positive like me and when we go back we will see some sweet little heart beats <3

    Keep us posted! I miscarried in October and I am not getting an ultrasound done until I will be seven weeks and 5 days. I am just trying to trust God and know there is a plan. To me this pregnancy is way different than from last time so I am hopeful.

    I feel the same! The last time I had no symptoms at all. This time they are minimal but fluctuating. Today I can smell everything and my food isn't tasting as good. Last week my breasts were tender and I am a little crampy right now. My doctor seemed more positive this time. The last time I just had a BAD feeling. This time I have been on my knees praying and I just have a better feeling. Maybe it's just me being optimistic, I mean the worry is still there but it does seem different. Prayers for you and a sticky bean! Babies are such a blessing.

    Hope everything is going well for you. I had an ultrasound done on Wednesday do to cramping and low levels on Tuesday. Couldn't see anything but 2 small black spots that might be sacs. So scared. Any advice appreciated
