so tired...can't function

Ugh I'm pretty sure this is the most extreme feeling of tiredness I've ever felt in my life! Part of me is really surprised i made the drive into work today with out incident! Now im sitting at my desk fighting to keep my eyes open! I'm only 9weeks idk if I can do this i just wanna go to bed! Anyone have tips on how to feel more awake? I already go to bed around 8 idk what else to do -_-zZzZ

Re: so tired...can't function

  • You are not alone! I feel this way too and I've spent hours worrying that "this can't be normal!" but it is. I am in bed and asleep by 9 every night, wake up between 6-7 for work then come home and lay around until I fall asleep again. I have no tips on what helps, just know that it supposedly goes away after the first trimester.

  • I hope it does lol DH is getting nerves about me driving haha i wonder if my boss would be will to start an official nap time even just like 30 minutes i think might help lol
  • I was just talking to my friend about how I always forget just how bad the 1st trimester exhaustion really is, it's like, you can not be this tired without something being wrong.  She mentioned that she felt the same way and insisted that her dr check her for lyme disease she felt so out of sorts and it couldn't be just from being pregnant, there had to be more.  It was negative.... she was JUST pregnant LOL

  • Lol thats exactly how i feel! I think the only time i ever feel this tired is back in my senior year if highschool when i stayed up for days at a time lol or when i have the flu! But nope its just pregnancy lol i say we all protest for naps! Thats reasonable right lol
  • This is me too!! Pretty much my only symptom. I am 10w2d. Work from 7:30-4:30 get home at 5, sleep on the couch for 2 hours, eat something for dinner, shower and bed. It's awful!! Hurry up 2nd trimester!

Exactly! I feel completely useless right now i work 7-4 or later depending on the day get home and nap then try and make myself eat (my nausea is kicking my butt) and then i go to bed around 8ish and wake up at 3 am for an hour! Ugh i really hope the 2nd trimester is as much of a land of rainbows, unicorns, and happiness as everyone says lol
  • I was so tired at work, I put my head down during coffee break and started snoring according to coworkers. One even checked my blood sugar to make sure I wasn't passed out from hypoglycaemia. Lol
  • I've been dozing off at my desk today too. Sorry hun, no tips here! I get 10 hours of sleep a night!!
  • I'm struggling too! As uninteresting as t sounds, I seem to do much better at work if I snack often, get up and move around for a minute or two every so often and drink a ton of water. I'm told this doesn't last forever! Let's hope they're right!
  • I'm trying to snack more so hopefully that will help lol my boss suggested i start taking an hour lunch break so i can sleep lol
  • So exhausted
  • I am accomplishing nothing but taking care of a 3 year old and somehow making it though work every day. I feel like a lazy poophead but... I just "can't even" right now.

I think my dogs took care of the poop out of the litter box. Which I can't change anyways so my mom is going to come over and do it for me every few days. How gross is that? And how gross is it that I don't even care? I'm gross now. I'm owning it.

  • Exhausted and feeling really down about it today. :(
