13 week Ultrasound Surprise....TWINS!

Oh. My. God! FTM here and freaking out!! I've been on this site for a while but mostly just read boards that I related to and didn't really get involved but now I feel like I could use the advice and support of some ladies that may be able to relate to my situation.
When DH and I went for our first scan at 7 weeks the ultrasound technician said..and I quote..."definitely only one in there" and yesterday at 13 weeks the very same technician started our appt with "hmmm we have a 'little' surprise this time"....holy smokes I'm having twins!!!! Twins don't run in either family, apparently this set is identical and has nothing to do with genetics just a crazy miracle that happens in a very small % of pregnancies.

Anyone in the same boat? Or mommies out their have multiples and advice for FTMs carrying twins??

    Congratulations! Be happy that you didn't have the time in between ultrasounds to worry about losing one twin. That was the worst. I'm a FTM too... Expecting twins, but we've known since 7w6d. Very stressful few weeks. But now that we're out of the first trimester we are SO EXCITED!

    Hi! I'm also a FTM and am 13w 6d. I'm expecting fraternal twins and found out at 7w 1d. Definitely exciting and nerve wrecking all at once! Since I've never had one, I'm hoping two will just feel natural.

    FTM here also expecting twins (fraternal)! Congrats! I found out at 8w and it definitely took a few days to sink in and now I'm so excited. :)

    Alrighty nice to know there's some FTMs out there in the same wonderful/stressful situation! Congratulations to you all!!! Fraternals might eliminate some stress for DH...he is so overwhelmed thinking he may not be able to tell ours apart, lol

    No twins have been seen inside me, but wanted to say CONGRATULATIONS! Twins are such a blessing. Stressful too id imagine, not downplaying that at all, but oh my gosh youre having twins!! :D

    Yay! Although I'm not a FTM, I am 13w 5d with fraternal twins. So exciting! The only "advice" I can give is that you will figure it out. Ask for help when you need it and make sure you communicate with your SO and figure out what works for you both. You can do this, momma! Congratulations!!

    We are also having twins! I'm 14 weeks today! They are fraternal. This is baby number four and five for us! We found out at 12 weeks!!!!

    CONGRATULATIONS! It is so exciting isn't it ❤️ I am having twins also and had an ultrasound yesterday I am was 13w 6d yesterday. They're SO active and one was jumping hehe so excited to find out the sex of my twins :)
    However, mine aren't identical :)

    I had the exact same experience!!!  Our 7 week U/S showed one sac and one little blip of baby. Our 13 week showed two huge babies! Such a blessing :) Congratulations!!!

    Whatttt omg I'm so scared wow! Hubby has been dreaming that he has twins he allways tells me don't joke around because u never know , after my 2 and u/s I asked the tech said just 1 baby so I've been joking about it !!! Omg so its possible !!!! AHHHHH CONGRATULATIONS BTW !!! lolzz I'm exited for you !!

    @jennmeeks thank you for responding. It makes my heart happy to know there's another momma out there going through the exact same thing!! Two babies is shocking under any circumstance but when your certain you're having a singleton and then there's two it's sheer craziness...ahhh!!!!!

    No advice, but that's just amazing!!!! Truly a blessing!!! I'm about to go to my appointment and I secretly wish there was 2 (my husband would die)! Lol!! Congrats!! You can do it! Three of my friends have multiples and they amaze me every day. One is currently pregnant with twins and also has two other children under 6!!! Congrats again momma!!
