I don't have any on my tummy yet but the ones on my boob showed up fairly early. Probably beginning of 2nd trimester or even before. A gal I work with her stretch marks showed up on her belly pretty much as soon as she started to have an official bump. Not even a huge bump, like a beginning baby bump. She stretched early and kept stretching.
This will be our fourth baby. I got my stretch marks on the sides (top of the hip area) during the last few weeks of my first pregnancy. They were red in color at first. I discovered them because I was itchy and I took a look in the mirror. I carried my first very low. All I did was use vit. E oil, maderma, cocoa butter (whatever I could find...lol) on the area. It took some time, but the eventually they faded and shrunk in size when I lost weight. The remaining pregnancies resulted in no new stretch marks and they stayed the same white/faded color. I tell you what though, I am a swimmer and I love the summer. When baby is older, a day at the beach or outdoor pool does help mask the appearance. Don't forget your sunscreen!
So far, I've only gotten a few on my sides near the top of my hips and I'm 31 weeks. They showed up pretty early in my pregnancy and I haven't gotten anymore anywhere else yet!
I haven't gotten any this pregnancy yet. When I was pregnant with my son, they showed up 4 days before I gave birth. They're right across the front of my stomach just above my belly button. I was 39w2d.
I think it really depends on the person - there doesn't seem to be a real rule, especially since it comes down to genetics anyway. But for me, I haven't gotten any on my bump or hips. I do have a ton on my boobs though, which isn't surprising since I've gone up at least 2 cup sizes. I'd say I've had them for about 2 months, so I would've gotten them around week 24.
As a side note, DH hasn't seemed to notice much, but last week he pointed to that general area while I was changing and told me that it looked really painful. I shrugged and was like, "It's just stretch marks, no big deal." He shook his head and said, "No, your veins are HUGE. That looks painful!" Sigh... Not painful at all but I wasn't pleased to realize that the thought associated with that area of my body is now "ouch."
I didn't get any with DD until I was 37 weeks. I thought I was in the clear and then I got a million. I still have them all and she is 3. I don't think the baby gave me any new ones yet.
With my son I didn't see any until AFTER I delivered. They were never purple/red either. I remember getting ready to go into the bathroom at the hospital and my husband said "I just want to warn you because I know you will freak out". Lol I had already saw by that point and was a bit shocked, but oh well. I'm 7 months now and don't have any new ones. ...yet
I am 30 weeks and I have some on my sides and two on my bump. Crappy genetics. Thankfully, my boobs haven't gotten any. Not sure how as I have gone up 2 cups sizes in this pregnancy.
I see them after the baby. I was lucky enough only to get tiny light ones.. I get at least one new one with each pregnancy. I call them " baby snags " lmao
I haven't got any yet from this pregnancy at 30 weeks (my 1st pregnancy). But I have them all over my body except the front of my stomach from growing to quickly when I was younger so I know I'm very prone to them. It will be a minor miracle if I escape without any on the front of my belly. But it would be nice if I could keep that one part of my body stretch mark free. I even have them on my calves! Errr.

Samesies! Mine are on the underside, so possibly in the best place possible if it's going to happen! Totally expecting more, though.
The very last stages of pregnancy are most notorious for stretchies IMO because that's when your tummy starts to grow really rapidly. If you haven't already used it try Bio Oil, but this time around I will actually be using Remescar in the last month or so ( only 7.5 weeks to go!) because even though the Bio Oil worked well for me right up to week 37 in those last three weeks I got a ton of large stretchiies on my lower tummy. Make sure when you moisturise you go really thoroughly everywhere, I didn't really do my lower stomach enough and paid the price!
I don't have any yet ( 31 weeks with twins) but I imagine I won't escape a twin pregnancy without a few. Everyone says at the very end when you grow the most is when those little bastards show up.
I guess I'll be the first to say... I'm 31 weeks and my belly looks like I got a tattoo of tiger claw marks everywhere lol I also have a bit on my side and back. I've been soaking in cocoa butter and I was hoping to be in the clear but I really don't mind it, I know it'll be worth it in the end

I'm with you - I call them my "mommy stripes". I'm prone to stretch marks anyway so I wasn't surprised to see them. I know from experience that the angry purple color will fade over time so I'm not that worried about it.

I was 32 weeks pregnant with my twins when they showed up. I thought I was in the clear my friend carried her twins to 37 weeks and didn't get any.
My neighbor has a theory that some like to show up once the baby starts to drop.
Ummm this isn't stretch marks but all the sudden I have What looks like a mix of a spider vein and varicose vein on the underside of one thigh.......... weird because it doesn't fit a certain description looks like an Inbetween of the two ...... Freaked me out. And very ugly. Bring on the weird pregnancy crap!!!!!

I have something like this on the top of one thigh. Its pretty small, maybe quarter sized, and looks half like a bruise almost, but not a bruise. In the dim light of a bathroom with only a small night light to guide me during a 2am pee, tho, it looked actually like a for real spider on my leg. Scared me proper. And - look at you at 3am and me at 5am. Insomnia club (cause I'm pretty sure we're in the same time zone)!
@klkonwi laying in bed reading tb and trying to decide if I want to bother to go down the stairs to feed the cats since I'm awake anyway, or if that would set a dangerous precedent for them getting breakfast before dawn.
