Anyone know any good pregnancy books? I have What to Expect When You're Expecting, as well as the Pregnancy Book for Men, but I am looking for other good ones as well so I can be as informed as possible. Thanks!
I was recommended Belly Laughs by Jenny McCarthy by several people. I read it the week I found out I was pregnant and I thought it was funny and real! If you want something fun yet tells you what to expect during your pregnancy its a good read!
I really liked The Baby Bump by the editors here on thebump.com and The Day by Day Pregnancy Book because I liked having something to read every day. The only thing with that one is that it starts to repeat itself a bit. I absolutely hated The Girlfriend's Guide to Pregnancy as I found it to be really condescending and judgey but that could be just me lol

I am the same I love having something to read daily, I feel lie it gives me a little update of whats going on with my body and with my baby I also have an app on my phone (I have an iphone) it is called OviaPregnancy. I love it, it gives you little randoms facts daily and when you get into the later stage of pregnancy there's this cute feature that shows you the size that the babies hand is. I also like it cause it keeps referring to my baby as a "she"and I secretly LOVE that...
My doctor said stick with What to Expect. Otherwise you end up reading the same exact thing in 10 different ways. No need over do it! I did buy Dude, You're Gonna Be A Dad though for my husband. It's much more condensed and has relatable wording like "Morning Sickness: The never ending hangover." We've found it amusing so far!
I loved Belly Laughs...i peed my pants from laughing! I also enjoyed the big book of birth. I found it helpful to go over different scenarios about the birth process. And of course what to expect
I love the 'Mayo Clinic guide to a healthy pregnancy' , as well as 'The only pregnancy book you'll need' . For my husband I bought him 'Dude, you're going to be a dad', which is alright, I like 'From Dude to Dad' better though.
I am reading the Girlfriends Guide to Pregnancy and I actually like it. I can see how some people might not, but I like the sarcastic-ness of it. Helps me not take every. little. thing. so seriously.
