Could I have my baby at 35 weeks an she be okay with no nicu time?

I was wondering if I was to go into labor at 35 weeks will my baby be okay cause I've been having pressure an pains constant Braxton hicks short pains in my area back pains I'm always so uncomfortable I'm carrying so low everyone thinks I'm having a boy an I'm not I'm just ceriouse an wanting to know so I know what to expect an if my baby will be okay

Talk to your doctor. No one on here can answer this, as every baby develops at a different pace.

Yes this is a doctor question as we don't know your medical history and every birth is different. Just because your having BH doesn't necessarily mean you will go into labor any time soon.

As the above have stated, call your doctor or midwife. No one can tell you what is going on inside your body, and all pregnancies are different. And even if you were to have a 35 week baby, only a doctor could tell you what that babies individual hospital plan would be. Every premature baby is different, my sister was a 28 week baby born in 1992 and was never on a ventalator or on oxygen.

My doctor mentioned yesterday that babies born at 36 weeks have a 15% chance of having underdeveloped lungs and needing a NICU stay. So I would imagine that number is somewhat signficantly higher for a baby born at 35 weeks.

It's possible, but my son was born at 37 weeks 4 days and was in the NICU for underdevelopment.

Doubtful it would need the NICU a, but maybe special care. Slight breathing issues and feeding issues would be the most likely reason for a stay in a special care nursery. But some 35 weekers go home fine, without any nursery stay. But then a full term baby can have breathing issues too so it's really a roll of the dice.

Every baby is different. Not sure your OB or MW could even answer that.

Frequent BH sucks but isn't uncommon at this stage. I have an irritable uterus - my second pregnancy with it - so I get lots of contractions that go no where. If they're not getting more frequent and intense then you're probably not in labor. With that said, there are exceptions (as seen in a previous thread), so best to call when in doubt.

My midwife said after 37 weeks if baby comes they should be fine but as you can see from above all babies are different

37 wks is considered full term. I had my daughter at 36 or 37 weeks and she was fine. We went home the next day. I am sure all babies are different thought. Hope your baby stays as long as she needs to. As far as pressure and being low. I had that for weeks with my 1st. I was always afraid she will fall out as I'm walking. I knew that couldnt happen but that's what it felt like.
