Back pain relief?

I'm almost halfway there. 19w 4d. Ok. I try my hardest to stay on my sides but for some weird reason I flip to my back. (I was never a back sleeper before)

I woke up this am screaming in pain. I had the worst pain on the right middle part of my back. It lasted a good 15 minutes before I could start moving again. It still hurts. I'm laying down for bed again tonight and even laying on my side is aggravating the area.

I'm sleeping with pillows upon pillows between my knees and legs. Does anyone have any other suggestions? I was thinking about the chiropractor. Thoughts? Tia

5 FROZEN from a freeze all cycle! 
FET completed on DECEMBER 9TH!!!

Beta #3 17dp5dt 3600 
First Scan January 5th! Everything looks great! Heart rate of 121!
Second Scan January 20th. Baby Justone13 looks amazing. Heart rate of 175!
Baby Girl is due August 27th

    I'd look into a chiropractor or see about getting a prenatal massage.  I don't think I've seen most of us deal with a lot of back pain from pregnancy until closer to 3rd tri, so it may just be a matter of readjusting or getting out some knots.  

    In a group on Facebook, the general consensus was that we all flipped to our backs until around 30 weeks, so I wouldn't worry about that part too much.

    Highly recommend finding a great prenatal chiro for regular adjustments. I've only been twice but she helped me a ton!

    also , i bought this expensive pillow and it keeps me from flipping too much because it's like a candy cane shape. when i roll it keeps me up. if that makes sense? I haven't tried other brands but I am sure they have the same features. I LOVE MINE!

    @1220winterbride yeah I think I need to invest in one of these pillows. I'll be calling the chiropractor tomorrow

    Oh no! Sorry you're dealing with this :(

    I vote chiro too. The acupuncturist I've been going to is also a chiro, so I've been getting adjusted at least every 2 wks and it's been a lifesaver.

    Me- 35, mild hypothyroidism

    DH- 29, low count due to a chromosomal abnormality, only option is IVF/ICSI with PGD.

    Married 5/13

    TTC since 8/13

    I use a body pillow. I find if I wrap my legs and arms around it I'm less likely to find myself on my back. Prenatal massages are the best!
