Ok ladies, since we will be delivering in August, what outfits were you planning on having for baby? My first was born in December so I'm thinking I definitely won't be needing the whole shebang this time around!!
Were you all just getting cute onesies? Or actual outfits, shirt, pants/shorts? I'm torn because it'll be summer but I don't know if baby will be cold in just a onsie?
We are also team green so anyone know of any cute gender neutral ones? Or should we just get a boy and a girl outfit?

Re: Taking home baby outfit
My daughter was 8lb 1oz and was swimming in the 0-3, 3 months size clothing when she was first born. We actually had to go out a couple days after she was born to get newborn sized clothing. I didn't have any since everyone swore I wouldn't need any. She only really wore them for a couple weeks though.
I am leaning towards something similar for this baby.
He also had a light A&A blanket over him. He was fine. I will probably do the same this time.
For my girl outfit I'll probably pick a sundress of some sort, for a boy just a onesie should be good.

Here is a site that goes over it in more detail, but if you take a birthing class they usually talk about this as well: https://www.healthychildren.org/English/ages-stages/baby/diapers-clothing/Pages/Dressing-Your-Newborn.aspx
Babies don't regulate temp like adults do, so it takes some adjustment. Dressing babies in layers and having additional options with you (like dressing in a onesie but bringing pants/sweater) is always a good idea particularly in the beginning when you may need to adjust more. You will get used to it. Try not to worry about it too much
This is great advice as a FTM! Thank u! I'm sure these words will be in my head after R our baby arrives
