In-Home Daycare?

I have been debating between daycare and a nanny for a while and a few of my non-local friends suggested looking at in-home daycares.  But I can't find any!  I live in Oceanport, which is Monmouth County.  How do you find small in-home daycares if you are using one?  Was it just word of mouth?    I looked on Care.Com but didn't see anything 

  Any suggestions would be appreciated!
