Help solve this disagreement! :)

Hubby and I have started talking about baby names. We do not know the gender yet. My husband likes the name Keller for a boy. I like it, but more as a middle name. I can already hear the various "killer" nicknames and references. Hubby says I'm worried for no reason. What do you all think?

I could see killer or Kellogg ' s but remember that there are a lot of very interesting names out there. YOUR Kid Is Bound to be in a classroom with a kid named something super ridiculous. Just read through the final baby names thread on here...it may change your tune.
I bet Keller will be less teased than most. Or.perhaps because everyone is trying to be unique these days that it won't be a thing for kids to necessarily tease as much with names.
  • I have a friend with the last name Keller and I've never hear that.
  • I personally didn't think "killer" when I read the name Keller, I just thought it sounded cute!
  • I don't think that he/she will get picked on honestly like I said its your baby and like the lady above said people are coming up with all kinds of new names or changing names up just to be unique we named our almost five year old McKenna we loved it and that was before McKenna and Mckenzie was popular again
  • First thing I thought to myself was "that's a lot like Killer. "

  • My sister lives in a town called Keller. I've never heard it as a name & think it's cute!
  • I thought Helen Keller lol didn't think Killer but I'm also from So cal with no accent
  • Two Kellers in my husband's family and I've never heard a killer joke! Not that it could never happen or anything but i don't think this one is an obvious no-no, like Abcde or something. I think it's a great choice!
  • I thought Helen. I've never heard Keller as a given name, but it does have a nice sound. I would be worried about Killer tho.
  • I've never heard Keller but we have a cousin with a son named Kellen and I immediately thought of how sweet he is! And his other son is Kane another precious little boy!
