My friend had her placenta made into pills and a few other products and she swears by it. Have any of you done this? Plan on doing it? If so, what are the benefits? Possible risks?
I was wondering about this, too, but I don't think my hospital does it, and there isn't another one nearby I can go to so I didn't really bother to pursue it. Curious, tho
This pregnacy will be my first time doing placenta encapsulation. I have many friends/family members that have done this before and all have very positive responses. A few reasons I am choosing to do this is I have always had trouble with milk supply and depression (more like baby blues) after birth. My reasons and hopes to gain from placenta encapsulation increased milk supply, quick postpartum recovery, hormonal balance. I don't know of any negatives but I am not an expert I have just done my own research and have many friends that have done this. My advice though is to find someone who is certified in doing this or someone who has gone through the classes. Hope this helps!
