My son is 7 weeks old .his bowel movement is low .he makes a stool once day after day .i breastfeeding him and rarely takes formula just one time per day if I'm out .my question is if I has constipation it transfer through my milk to him or what ?!!
My doctor said breastfed babies can go up to four days without a bowel movement because they use all the nutrients so efficiently. I was in the same boat with my 3 week old.
Bowel movements start to slow down after a couple of weeks. As long as the stools are not hard, little balls and there is no blood- this is likely normal for him. Baby should still have the seedy consistency albeit probably larger amounts due to the frequency. Consult your pediatrician.
Thanks all for your replies...he made that seedy yellowish watery poo but my concern was that he didn't made for the last two days but this morning he made a huge amount
