Baby girl J names?

We just found out we were having a baby girl last week. My name, my SOs name, and my son's name all start with J. So, now I need some opinions on pretty girl names. The only one we've really liked, so far, is Jailen.
Anybody know of any other really pretty J names?

Re: Baby girl J names?

  • I don't think you need to choose a J name. But here are my favorites:

    Jillian
    Juliet
    Jocelyn
    Julia

Josephine, Jolene, and Jocelyn are my favorites. I definitely favor traditional classic names though.
  • My little sister is named Jade and if we have a girl we are planning on using it as a middle name.
  • Jane is nice

  • I like jailen or jade, jayla is another option i havent seen suggested.

  • Our daughter's name is Juniper!  It's more unique, but we love it...and the nickname June Bug is fun!
  • Based on Jailen I think you are going non traditional? Jade is pretty. Jennevieve, Jenna, Jewel, Joy....good luck! We are in the same boat with a J name for a little girl. Challenging! !
  • I know I don't NEED to go with a J name but I really want continue with the J tradition. Especially since she would be the only one with a name that didn't start with J.

And yes, my son's name is Jaxton so most likely non traditional. Lol
I really enjoy Jayla and Jillian also.
Thank you all for all the feedback those are all some great options! :)
  • Also, Juniper is so cute and different! I love different. :P I love names that give options for cute nick names like June Bug.
  • My name is Jaclynn. It's not common anymore but there are many my age.
  • My name I Jenette not to many people named that...but other people usally spell it Jeanette but it like mine cause I can use Jen.
  • I was also thinking of using J for my baby girl because my DH and DS both start with J. But I have had a girl name picked out for over a year and probably plan on using Lily. I liked what my mom had suggested though, she said Jema, which could be Jem for a nickname. It's like Gem just with a J and I thought it was cute. Good luck with choosing a name! :)
  • I'm naming mine jordan
  • I love Jemima! But I'm British and I hear this name is taboo in the states. Something to do with racist pancakes? :D In the UK this is considered quite a 'posh' name however.
  • I really like the names Joelle, Juliana, Janessa and June. My last name is Jones so our girls will probably never have a J name.

I've also known girls named Johnnie and Jimmie. Both were named after family members.
  • I'm Johanna, and have enjoyed that and get lots of compliments on it! There are several pronunciations; mine is with a hard J, pronounce the h, and rhymes with banana. Also I like Joni, but maybe it's because I love Joni Mitchell.
  • I'm partial to Jessica because it is my name :-)  My sister is Julia so those are the two I would recommend.  If you are looking at unusual names, I had a friend named Jerricka (I actually cannot remember for sure it that is how she spelled it). and there is always Josselynn (my nieces name) nn Joss.
