food poisoning?

So about two days ago I wasn't feeling very good just kind of blah. Well I had made tacos for dinner and ate one and my boyfriend had two. I had laid down to sleep for a bit before work and when I woke up my arms felt very sore like someone had punched them and I had a slight head ache and my stomach was very crappy so I assumed it was food poisoning since my boyfriend said he was having an upset stomach and a head ache and such. But it's now two to three days later and I'm feeling slightly better but I've still been having a crappy stomach and diarrhea. So I was trying to see how long food poisoning lasts for and it kept going back to listeria and how if you have any of the symptoms you should call your doctor. I'm just worried that it might be even though it was a slim chance I have it. But I was going to go to urgent care tomorrow just to see if the baby is okay cause he has been moving around alot so that makes me feel okay but I'm still just worried though.

    You can always call your after hours line if it makes you feel better.
    Food poisoning usually lasts about 24hours for me.
    Make sure you keep hydrated though. I hope you feel better soon!

    Thank you and yeah I've been trying to keep hydrated cause I know it's not good for him if I'm not.

    I'd also recommend calling the after hours line. I had a VIOLENT stomach bug a few weeks ago....so bad that I was convulsing as I was vomiting and had no control over my body. I felt like I was possessed! Well of course I turned to "Dr. Google"......which is never a good idea. Of course the whole listeria thing comes up...etc...

    Long story short, I called my doctor and he said that he hasn't seen a case of listeria in his 30+ years of being a doctor. He told me to keep hydrated and stick to the BRAT diet, but that it was unnecessary to go to urgent care. 

    My husband had already stocked up on gatorate, pedialyte, saltines, bananas, and graham crackers for me and I eventually felt better in about 4 days. Good luck!
