Is anyone else NOT craving anything?

I'm 16wks 4days. And everyone has been asking me the big question, "so what are you craving?" I really haven't craved anything since the beginning when all I could keep down was mashed potatoes! I mean I have definite preferences...like salty over sweet...normally I'm a chocoholic and I haven't had chocolate in weeks, but I don't call that cravings. Should the cravings have started by now?

Re: Is anyone else NOT craving anything?

  • I am 16 weeks Wednesday and I am feeling the same as you. I actually have more food aversions than I do cravings. People keep asking me too, but I really have not had any. I am also craving salty over sweet and I am normally a sweet person.

On the same exact boat except Im 15 weeks. I honestly can't wait to be done with food aversions and start craving yummy (hopefully healthy) things.
  • I'm eating a lot more dairy and drinking more milk but I wouldn't call them cravings. I really haven't been craving anything at all either!
  • It sounds like I am in the same boat as you. I craved so many odd things with my son but this pregnancy I have been too sick to really crave anything. I am just now 15 wks and starting to eat again. Hopefully it doesn't last the whole nine months like some ppl. My husband and I had fun looking back at the weird stuff I just had to buy and eat
Do you happen to know what you are having?
  • @rachellegiacco We just found out Thursday it's a boy!...still adjusting to that idea because we really were thinking it was a girl. But I'm thinking that may have something to do with the food preferences too!
  • I'm 18 weeks and 3 days and I think I finally had my first real craving around 3 am of course. I wanted fruit roll-ups in the worst way and I had a hard time falling back to sleep because I kept thinking about how good they would taste.
  • 17 weeks and still no cravings. I just love food and sweets but that's nothing new. Haha

    Pregnancy Ticker Anniversary
  • At 16 weeks still no cravings, just aversions :(
  • My tastes really haven't changed at all--no cravings and no real taste aversions. There have been a couple times when I've been pretty nauseous and not really up for anything except crackers or bread, but after I felt better, I was up for everything I normally eat.
  • 17 weeks tomorrow and still no cravings or aversions, or symptoms in general. It's nerve racking but I try not to complain, because I know I'm lucky. I'm up 4 pounds, and my eating habits are still exactly the same, but I'm sure I'll make up for it towards the end of this thing!!
  • I'm 15 wks and haven't had any major aversions or cravings. Only one meal my husband made (Mexican) smelled so awful that I couldn't deal, but that's it. And I sometimes think, oh- this sounds good right now, but I haven't felt like I needed anything to eat right now or I'm gonna die! Mostly sweets and pasta. I'm wondering I'll ever get that midnight ice cream and pickles craving, but I doubt it. Some people just don't have heavy symptoms like others... I've had barely any so far, I don't even feel like I'm pregnant to be honest!

No cravings yet either. Nothing seems appetizing. I do prefer sweets over salty things tho.

I feel it's less cravings lately and "huh... I could actually eat that and feel okay afterwards". I have major food aversions especially to cooked meat (cow, chicken, turkey- it doesn't matter). Sometimes I 'crave' french fries/tater tots/potato chips or maybe it's just that I want to eat something my stomach will accept and doesn't taste so bad if I happen to see it again sometime soon.
