35 weeks, pain during sex

hey ladies!
My husband and I have been having some problems as far as sex goes... It's so painful! All of a sudden it's so tight down there, my husband loves it, but me.. Not so much, could this be due to effacement or cervical ripening?
All thoughts help! I start getting checked at my next OB visit so I'll mention the pain to her then, but for now any input is appreciated!

    Not so much to do with effacement or ripening as your vagina not being able to increase in size as it normally would because well there's just no room to go so your husband is probably hitting your cervix which is quite painful.
