June 2015 Moms

let's be honest.

Let's be honest, when everyone says "just wait until you can't see your feet anymore.." Feet really means lady parts.. And as far as shaving goes, what a joke.. Might just bite the bullet and get a bikini wax because there can't be any pain that's worse than littles ones feet in my ribs.. Pregnancy is a "beautiful" thing. Beautiful must been some kind of crazy acronym no one told us about.

Re: let's be honest.

  • I was fat pre-pregnancy, so I really couldn't see naughty bits anyway. Shaving blind was just a way of life for me until I just couldn't really reach my arms down there anymore because there was more baby than fat. However, losing sight of my feet is definitely a new thing in my world! I may have been a porker before, but I could at least see my toes- they're gone now!

  • Bikini wax is totally worth it.  I go every 6 weeks.  The pain is not that bad.
I will try to pretzel myself in the tub to shave my legs before I deliver... but not before that!

  • I love depilatory creams but haven't used since being pregnant because it just doesn't seem safe....I mean the smell alone makes me question how far it is infiltrating my body and I would rather wait until DD is born to use again... You ladies who wax while pregnant are brave and I am a little jealous of your ability to tolerate the pain!!

I agree. Waxing is totally worth it. If you drink plenty of water before you go, it doesn't hurt that bad.
  • This is true. Because I can see my feet. I can still touch my toes. But I cannot see my vagina.....
  • I always get waxed; it just seems like a really bad area to have pokey stubble.

  • When you are saying you can't see your crotch or your toes, do you just mean when standing straight up, or even if you bend over and look? I know that's a dumb question, but... It's my genuine question...
  • @amark11 I thought the same thing. Lol.

@amark11 and @cillymama When I lean forward far enough I can see my toes, but I just can't look straight (ish) down and see them. In all reality, my boobs prevented me from looking truly straight down pp, but now I actually have to make an effort if I want to see them. As a side note, I can, however, still touch them and the floor! I was butchering some burpees this morning, as a matter of fact. ;)

  • @finchfeeder80 kudos to you! I can't touch my toes at all. Feels like my hamstrings tightened up when I got pregnant.

@finchfeeder80 you're rockin the burpees! I'm too lazy for that, so you go, girl! And I couldn't touch my toes before I was pregnant (like I said, lazy). I have, however, lost sight of them in the casual look downwards, but I can still see them if I peer over the bump!

Go you! I can't imagine doing burpees right now!!
  • Westypet   Oh no, not ME! @finchfeeder is the one rockin the burpees. Me, burpees? Hell, no. Thanks for the vote of confidence, tho.   :)

(Guess I'll edit my original post to eliminate confusion going forward, when I re-read it I confused myself a bit, lol

  • I think if I did a burpie right now I'd either get nauseous or winded after just one. Carrying a sleepy 29# toddler up a steep set of stairs gives me SOB. I'm taking this as a sign that maybe I should be exercising more...or investing in an elevator for the house. #:-S

@finchfeeder80 - impressive! Closest I've gotten to a burpee is picking something off of the floor! :-)

@lovethatcolosun - ohhh a girl can dream about an elevator. I hate stairs, and I'm so used to carrying piles of things up and down them to avoid extra trips... Now I'm just trying to avoid tripping over the cat.

@Westypet oh god, this. If I'm going up or down stairs the cat likes to "beat" me to where I'm going. Trip hazard to the max. It's honestly one of the reasons we choose to make the nursery the room across from our bedroom instead of downstairs: I was foreseeing me heading downstairs for feedings and tripping over the darn cat.
  • Burpees and cat stair races are dangerous.
Add to the list of ish pregnant beeches can't do?
  • I was breathing so hard and heavy in church last night from standing kneeling...... That my husband said he was just sure everyone in the pews around us was hearing...... Lovely.
  • @devyns2nd I also have no idea what a burpee is! I do exercise (at least I used to), but clearly not as well as you ladies!
  • Basically...
Throw yourself down on the ground, flail your legs out, back in, and spring back up again!
  • There's got to be a funny gif of a burpee out there somewhere. For the life of me I can't figure out how to post those. Where my gif girls at? 8->
