I take my Glucose test tomorrow, and I'm nervous. I have PCOS, so I know that my body does not process insulin the way it should anyway. I'd love to hear how my fellow PCOS moms-to-be have fared during the test.
I have PCOS but I've also been on Metformin for the entire pregnancy. I passed the one hour test at 22 weeks and have to take it again in two weeks when I'm 28 weeks. I'm hoping I pass again. The day before and the day of the test I just watched my carbs and drank a lot of water. I don't know if that helped at all, but I feel like it can't hurt! My doctor's cut off was 140 and I was at 106 so I'm hoping that bodes well for when I have to take it again!
I've taken the test twice. The first time was around 14 weeks. I passed with a 92. The second time was yesterday. I passed with a 112. My ob/gyn office's cut-off is 130.
Prior to getting pregnant, I had been on Metformin for about a year. My dr. had me continue taking Metformin until I was about 12 weeks and then she had me stop.
I have PCOS and also had to take the test twice. The first time was around week 16 and I passed with a 100. The second test was yesterday at 28 weeks and I haven't heard yet but my fingers are crossed that I passed again, my doctors cut off is also 130. The couple days leading up to it I just watched my sugar/carb intake and like always drank a ton of water.
I have pcos as well. I'm on my second pregnancy and first pregnancy I passed and this pregnancy I passed both of them as well. I too drink tons of water every day so hopefully that helps.
I have PCOS. I've tested fine. With my first I had to do the 3 hr but passed. Passed one hour with My 2nd. Waiting on the results for this one. Just did my one hour last week.
I have pcos. My first preggo I tested high on the 1 hr but okay on the 3 hr. this time he took me straight to the 3 and my results were very good, so it did not impact at all. I do eat a low GI diet in general though so I think that helps
Can I just add that you really should eat your normal diet before the test... if you cut out carbs or drastically change what you eat in the days just before the test it can give you a false negative and then when you return to your normal diet after " passing" the test if you do have GD that can be less than ideal for yourself and the baby. If you do have GD you really want to know about it so they can treat you properly for it.
I have PCOS and just got my results of my 1 hour test which came back high at 160 my doctor likes to see 130. I am going to take the 3 hour test and change my diet.
I have PCOS and got diagnosed with GD. I had to tweak my diet a bit, but not too bad. I've hit a rough couple days where I just want to eat whatever and my numbers aren't always the greatest, but ya just gotta keep at it and keep them down.
I have PCOS and failed the one hour but passed the three hour test. The doctor told me that our baby girl is measuring in the 90th percentile and that I still need to cut back on carbs and sugars. It's been difficult but easier as time goes on. Hoping the best for all of you.

Good luck on your tests, ladies!
