What food aversions are you having?

Mine is by far onions - can not stand them since I became pregnant. I used to put them in basically everything that I cooked, never liked them raw but they are my husbands favorite so always had them cut up on the side for him. Not now - poor guy has to go sans onion for awhile. What foods that were fine before are now on the no list for you?

Re: What food aversions are you having?

  • I don't really have any except the normal ones on the no-no list. If I'm eating something I'm not craving then it kind of becomes like a blah thing. I DO gag frequently still (13w5d) over food left on dishes in the sink (not a ton mind you but the normal amount from a dish that hasn't been washed) or milk that got left out. Forgot to put dd's milk in the fridge last night and as I was emptying it I was gagging this morning. I held my breath and everything but just the thought of what I was doing got me!

  • Meat and eggs for me too! So gross. I can't wait to enjoy food and be able to eat some healthier options besides carbs all day :)
  • Meat! Just the smell makes me want to vomit!
  • Unfortunately chicken of any kind, it was my favorite! Other than that, it was water for about 2 weeks!
  • I was doing really good with food up until this week. I'll be 12 weeks tomorrow and this has been one of my worst weeks yet. I have an aversion to almost all food and other things as well. I have lost a little weight this week and I'm worried this is a bad sign for me in the MS department. I have been super nauseas and gaggy since about 7 weeks (usually all day and night) but have not thrown up yet. Now at 12 weeks I'm coming very close to vomitting. I was looking forward to this disappearing soon but now am worried this is going to continue on and just get worse.... Has anyone else been experiencing this too?
  • I can't bring myself to eat meat for the past week or so.  Last night I forced down a little piece of chicken.  It is just completely unappealing to me right now.
  • Peanut butter. And the weird thing is I will crave a PB&J so I go make it thinking the aversion is gone. Then I take a bite and gag. :(
  • MEAT!! All types!!
  • Fried food. I hate it and can't eat. Fried chicken, fried fish french fries just anything fried make me gag.
  • Meat. Especially chicken

  • Bacon.... im heart broken! I smell it anywhere and my stomach turns. :(
  • Nothing specific, it depends on the day. DH made these buffalo wings the other night and the smell of them baking sent me running to our room, where I shut the door and opened the window. It was awful! But then the next day when he reheated them, I was fine. Go figure. I have the most ridiculous gag reflex though! I can gag over smells, thinking about food, changing DDs diaper, even when it doesn't stink, eating food, brushing my teeth, drinking water (which is making it really hard to stay hydrated!), sitting and doing nothing...it drives me crazy some days!

  • Meat also.
  • Chicken blah!
  • Chicken! I had a dream about my friend who passed away and he told me I hated chicken bc my hormones can sense the artificial hormones in the chicken lol! Kinda made me think...
  • Unfortunately chicken of any kind, it was my favorite! Other than that, it was water for about 2 weeks!

I was a huge chicken fan too, and now I can't stand it at all no matter what ! And coffee and tea which I also loved before pregnancy, and Chinese chow mein which I also loved and now can't stand !!
  • Chicken and onions ! And they were my favorites !!.... Betrayal lol
  • Leftovers, onions, peas, and almost anything I was craving before. If I ate it, it satisfied the craving, but I realllly don't want to eat it again :(
  • Anything left over and chicken ! I eat it but because I have to eat smtn sometimes I cant take more then a bite and corn chips and waffles yucckkkk!!!!

  • Macaroni and cheese. I think because I made some about the time I found out I was pregnant, ate a few bites and threw the rest away.
  • My ultimate no-no's have been: coffee, anything coconut, mac & cheese, onion, cream cheese, and the list keeps growing.
  • Meat, eggs, anything greasy or fried. I started crying other day because got Chinese food and I took one bite and couldn't stomach it and I ordered so much takeout!
  • Pretty much all meat but turkey and chicken are the worst! That's all I used to eat so I'm having a hard time cooking now. I find myself craving things I usually hate like yogurt and bananas. I am so thrown off by all this. I have been craving my favorite burger of all time in the history of ever for a good two weeks now, I finally went to get it and when I took a bite of it, I gagged and spit it out. It smelled and tasted horrible! I even asked if they changed the recipe and they hadn't. I don't know what that was all about because I had even even been craving it. I also used to eat ice cream almost every night and I've only had it 3-4x and I am 14wk1dy.
  • can't do coffee :( no cookies, cakes, brownies or anything with frosting ugh.

Um, can I say EVERYTHING?!  lol
My poor husband sometimes has to force me to eat, because everything sounds sooo awful. ... and I usually toss my cookies anyway.  It's highly unpleasant, especially for a usual food lover like me.

Things I almost always do ok with are: baked potatoes, vanilla ice cream, pickles and watermelon.  So nutritious...

  • Chocolate milk taste so different to me now !! Anyone else ?!
  • Vegetables! Blah blah blah so gross. I had to get v8 fusion to make sure I get some servings of veggies in me!
  • Bacon, anything deep fried and the baby food purée I made for my nephew for lunch today!

    But bacon is the worst.
  • Chicken :( When I was pregnant with DD, it was eggs and bell peppers, and now it's chicken. I really eat a steady diet of chicken, eggs, and veggies, so it's a cruel twist of fate that some of those things are the foods that I can't handle right now! It's just too odd!

  • MEAT.. UGH - I cannot handle the smell of food cooking in my house, mostly cooked veggies (although raw in salad is fine) and meat are my worse triggers.  My poor hubby and 16 month old son - I am trying to suck it up so I can get a good dinner on the table for them but some days its sandwiches all around
