AFP results. Any experience?

in Pregnant after IF
I got a call from OB nurse saying my afp results were normal. Great. I then asked for the number, which was 1.21. I thought normal was 10-150? If low is indicative of chromosomal issues how is that normal? I had a normal Verify test a few mos ago. Should I be worried?
Me: 37, DH: 38: ttc 7 years, dx: unknown
10/11: after 2 years, saw a RE, FSH 5.4
11/11: BFP! (surprise after thyroid & normal hsg),
12/11: missed m/c after 7 week u/s, 1/12: D&C
6/12 IUI#1-IUI #3: clomid = BFP!, C/P
IVF #1(10/12) FSH 5.4, AFC: 16 long Lupron, 5R/5M/4F, all 4 made it to 5dt, 1 blast/1-8 cell transferred=BFN
IVF #2(12/12)AFC 21, MD lupron, 4R/4M/3F, 5dt of 1 blast and 2-8cell. BFN.
IVF#3(4/13) Natural start antagon protocol, 12R,11F. one PGS normal at day 6 transfer. BFN.
IVF#4 (11/13) C.CRM (ODW.U normal 8/13 Still no Diagnosis) EPP/antagonist. ER 13R/7M/6F. Only 1 made it to freeze. Abnormal. Looking into options of DE, Fresh vs frozen.
10/14 new local RE to look into what's next. CD3 FSH 4.7, AMH 0.9. Met with DE agencies and exploring options for feb/march 2015.
Surprise natural bfp (4 days before donor is signed). Beta #1 at 9dpo: 51.8, 2nd beta: 195 (25 hours doubling) @11dpo. 3rd beta (12/15): 516 (35 hrs doubling) 4th beta(12/17): 895 (58 hours doubling) 5th beta(12/19): 2120. U/S at 5w0d(12/22): one gestational sac with yolk sac. U/S #2 (6w0d)12/29. One little bean measuring 6w0d with HR 124. 3rd u/s(1/4)7w0d: baby measuring 7w2d. HR 134. 3/30: A/S at MFM went great except for low lying placenta. Verifi results are normal! Team Blue! Please send any positive thoughts our way! EDD:8/24/2015
Baby Will born 8/18. He's perfect.

    I wouldn't worry. Mine came back elevated and after 2 anatomy scans, they said everything looked normal. Still Not sure why my afp was elevated!

    HSG in July 2011 found uterine polyps
    Surgery Sept 2011 to remove polyps
    Tried Clomid (monitored) Oct-Feb 2012
    Consult with RE April 2012
    Diagnosis ~ unexplained infertility
    May 2012 IUI-BFN 
    April 2014- IVF consult with RE
    May 2014- baseline~21 follicles, High FSH and estradiol
    IVF #1 Aug 2014~Lupron trigger protocol (Gonal-F, Menopur, Cetrotide)
    Stimmed for 9 days, trigger on 8/20~ 32-36 follicles seen, 16 measured on each side
    ER~ 8/22 ~ 36 follicles retrieved! 21 Mature, 17 ISCI'd
    8/27~Day 5 transfer of 2 BB blasts, 1 to freeze
    9/9~ BFP!! Beta #1- 978
    9/11~ Beta #2- 1965
    9/15~ Beta #3-7480
    1st ultrasound 9/24

    It's 10-150 ng/mL or mcg/L for weeks 15-18 of pregnancy. I wonder if they gave you 1.21 in a different form, and it's actually 121 ng/mL?

    Ovulatory dysfunction, Antiphospholipid Syndrome (APS) *RULED OUT with confirmation test results as of 4/6/15!!!*
    Clomid + trigger + timed intercourse: BFN
    Femara + IUI: BFP!
    EDD 10/10/15
    2/9 - 5w2d - early cardiac activity!
    ER visit 2/13 - 5w6d - SCH
    2/23 - 7w2d - heart rate 165 bpm! SCH getting smaller
    3/6 - 8w6d - minor car wreck, SCH larger again
    3/30 - NT scan - lowest risk score possible at 1:10,000 for both Downs Syndrome and Trisomy 18
    4/6 - 13w2d - heart rate 165bpm :)
    5/5 - 17w3d - quick ultrasound looks like a GIRL!

    The 1.21 might be a ratio like 1:21. Mine was in a similar ratio but I can't remember what it was! It was around 1:21 though.

    Thanks. I found out that is what is means a few days after this post. It has been so slow around this place that I haven't update my post. Thanks for the response!
