Twins - Commiserate With Me

Does anyone else out there SAH with their twins and feel like they are drowning on a daily basis? My girls are 5 months old now and I was hoping it would get slightly easier as they got away from the newborn stage. One of my girls has reflux and one of my girls is a terrible teether and I find myself just barely making it through the day with my sanity. Having a 3.5 year old is just another piece of the stress puzzle. -sigh-

Not looking for advice - just commiseration. Tell me I am not the only one!

  • I don't have twins (but an a twin lol) you're super woman! I am having a hard time with just one lo and you have 2 and a toddler! Maybe you could find a momma's day out program or a day care that will let you do a drop in one day a week or even once a month soo you can clean the house or nap! Or just get a mani pedi! Good luck to you momma!

  • I do have twin girls who are just shy of 5 months. I'm so happy I've found this post because I thought I was the only one having the same issues and feelings as you!! Would love to chat more!!
  • I also have twin girls who are 4.5 months old. They are currently going through a sleep regression, which is miseable because I am back at work and need to function on the home and work fronts. I am a member of the local Moms of Multiples chapter, which has been an incredible resource. I would suggest looking into whether or not there is one in your area. I met up with two twin moms last weekend to go for a walk with our babies and it was so nice to talk with moms going through the same things. Hope this helps. Us twin mommy's have to stick together...it is SO hard and we need all the support we can get!
  • Thanks ladies! I have looked into a local Moms of Multiples chapter but they wanted a fairly large fee for membership and I just cannot justify the expense right now. :(

Thanks for letting me know I am not the only one stressed out right now. It seems like with two you never have a moment to breathe. Right now my bar for a successful day is if we all survive and I hate feeling that way. I miss feeling like I accomplished things and I really miss working out. I just cannot seem to make it work in my days yet. I am happy to be nursing the girls but it takes up so much of my day that I can barely manage to shower and get my 3.5 year old fed. I managed to potty train him two weeks ago and I literally felt like I had won a Nobel Prize! Ha
