Spit up VS. vomiting

My LO has been spitting up after he eats a bottle sometimes but lately he's been spitting up so much that the milk shoots right out of his mouth, A LOT! Then he starts to cry and it also comes out of his nose too. Should I bring him to the ER or doctors? I'm not sure if this is normal? He's also been having a lot of diarrhea.

    Call your pediatrician. Ours has a nurse I can talk to immediately.

    That happened to us as well. My pediatrician thought I was eating something that was upsetting his stomach. I cut out a couple things and it helped. He does still spit up once in a while but it's not a regular thing like when it was happening. When they spit up like that it definitely scares you!

    Mine is formula fed and does that. We have been going to the doctor every couple weeks since he was born because his pediatrician thinks he has silent reflux. Sometimes he eats fine and doesn't spit up. Sometimes he eats a little and cries during the whole bottle like he is in pain and spits it all up. He is always acting like he is starving but then he cries out while eating. The pediatrician wants to keep seeing him to check his weight because he dropped a whole pound 3 days after birth and has not put on weight as fast as she would like. We were trying to avoid Zantac but I just feel like it's getting worse and more frustrating for him. I think when we go back she is going to try him on Zantac so he can feel better and eat better. I would call your doctor and see what they think.

    Definitely talk to dr again. Check the nipple. Maybe it's too fast.
