How to tell family?

im 18 and a freshman in college. I just found out that I'm around 4 weeks pregnant. My family does not like my boyfriend and little do they know the father of our baby. Im scared to death to tell anyone. His family had already gone thought teen pregnancy so it won't be to bad but his family and I clash sometimes. I have no clue what my moms reaction would be anf as for my dad, step mom, brother and step dad I'm not expecting anything good. It'll be hard for my dad and step mom because they have a son that just turned one in November. At the age of two my half brother will be an uncle! I want to tell them in a cute way but don't know of that's appropriate. Any ideas? Sorry this is so long.

    If you are unsure how they will react, I would skip the cutesie announcement. Just be straight forward.

     Rip off the Band-Aid.

    ETA: I would also be prepared to answer a lot of questions: Can you afford a baby? where will you live? Does your Bf want a baby? Will you stay in college? etc

    I agree with PPs. Definitely skip cutesie and just be direct. Of course, only do this after having considered everything and being sure of moving forward.

    Just be direct and honest. They may be disappointed at first but if you choose to keep the baby it is going to be reality and they will learn to accept it because this is something that they can't change

    I felt the same way the first time I told my parents. I am pregnant again and am still really afraid to tell them. As for my first baby, after the shock wore off everyone became supportive. If your family wants a relationship with you they will have to accept it. As for breaking the news, it helps if you cry! Lol just kidding. But I actually did. It's hard to yell at a crying pregnant girl! :-)
