TTC after 35

Hump Day

I think Hooligans is on vacation so I'm just going to throw this up here.

How is your week going? Anyone indulging?

My decaf isn't fooling my brain. And it's not very good, I think I need to find a new one.

I think I might finally O today. I have a slight temp dip and my cervix is high. Unless my body is still messing with me those are promising signs. Of course my chances of getting h to dtd tonight are next to nothing since we just dtd the night before last, and of course he was careful so no chance of that one being lucky. I really need to find some way to accept that this is probably never going to happen. I'm just not there yet.

Hope everyone is having a good week!

Re: Hump Day

  • @Guennie I feel for you! (Hugs)

Nothing much planned for this week just trying not to obsess over FF app. I find myself going on it all day (even at work :-/ ).

  • @Guennie- sorry about dh.

I'm hanging with my kids. Have to go back to work tomorrow. H is off Thursday through monday. Not much else going on here.

  • @Guennie are you getting caffeine withdrawal headaches? Those are the worst! Hit the gym this AM. Trying to get organized because the weekend is shaping up to be very busy.
  • @Guennie - are you trying to avoid all forms of caffeine? Green tea can be a great way to transition from coffee. I myself am trying to cut out all unhealthy carbs and I've always had a weakness for chips. I haven't had chips at all this entire cycle (currently on CD23) but not sure it's making a difference as I still haven't O'd. I'm tempted to just give in and eat an entire bag...

  • Thanks @Guennie I leave for Florida at 4am tomorrow but totally wasn't thinking about the hump day post.
I'm a little panicked right now. DH threw up all lady night. So far today he has been on but he says he achy. Oh god I hope he isn't sick. He has 12 hours to get well. I don't even know what to do if he is sick.
Please sent him healthy vibes and me calming ones. I'm strung pretty tight right now. :-SS

    All welcome

  • This is definitely midweek. I didn't get everything I wanted done for end-of-month so it all just rolls over into next month. Ordinarily that means the pressure is off for a while but I'm not quite feeling that release yet. Maybe once the weekend hits.

@Guennie - I'm sorry. It is so frustrating to feel your body is gearing up and to not be able to do anything to give it a chance.

@hooligans4 - if he has the stomach bug that has been ripping around the east coast, it is brutal but mercifully short. Everyone in our house was destroyed but also fully functional within 24 hours of onset. You may be ok. Consider him an extreme biohazard for about 48 hours though.

  • @Guennie sorry DH is not being helpful :( maybe he just needs a break from it for a while and will get back on board in a month or so... Fingers crossed for you

@jennymack79 I need a personal training night so bad! I have at least 10 lbs I'd like to drop before getting pregnant again but finding time is sooooooo hard! Well done on at least getting one night a week ;)

I'm about to walk into Jury Duty blaghhhhhhh at least this gets me out if it for a couple years. Sorry to say but I kind of think this lady already did it and I haven't even heard the evidence against her (theft charges) she just looks super shady and has a history of theft sooooo yeah....
  • Thanks everyone. @kindershlitz I only usually drink one cup a day and I don't make it very strong, so when I quit I don't usually get headaches.

@jilligan14 I don't really like green tea that much and it tends to make me semi-nauseous, I don't know why.

@hooligans4 I hope everyone will feel much better tomorrow!! So sorry you have to worry! FX for a healthy hubby and fabulous vacation!!

I just tried to cuddle up to my h on the couch and he acted like he didn't even want to touch me. Aside from it being a giant slap in the face given the timing, it really hurt my feelings. I came to bed by myself and now I'm laying here trying not to cry. Great ending to my day.

  • Aw @Guennie. So sorry, that really sucks.  I hope things get better between you two.
I also switched to green tea, but I got like fancy green tea and I learned how long to steep and stuff and now I"m pretty into it. In fact, lately coffee's been making me feel nauseated. Or something is, I don't know what.
@hooligans4 my co-woker also had that nasty bug. And she shit her pants at school. It sounds awful, but quick. Gone in 24 hours. Hope he gets better soon.

I'm still on spring break, so this week has been pretty nice for me. Went to the dentist today. NO CAVITIES AND COVERED AT 100%. That pretty much made my day.
Also went shopping with the H and we got him some new jeans and a sweatshirt and a new toaster.  Much of it was gift cards, so that's cool. Oh, ha I also got some pants from Uniqlo and they are elastic waistband, but they look like real pants.  OMG, how freakin awesome. amiright?

Anyway, about to make some dinner while H does the exercise bike. He felt fat while shopping today. Don't want him to feel bad about himself, but all for the exercising.

  • Ahhhhhhhh.....this is insane!!! My h was over whatever got into him and we dtd this morning- he wasn't careful!!! I was expecting a temp shift this morning but I just temped an hour and a half later after lying in bed and it's not up. So either this is an anovulatory cycle or I am ovulating way late. I really don't know what to think. Talk about a freaking rollercoaster.

Also, I forgot to mention I found a four leaf clover the other day. I found one before conceiving my daughter. I put it in a locket and wore it around my neck my entire pregnancy. So I put this one on my nightstand hoping it might bring me luck. It's really messing with my head now.

I really hope I get a temp rise tomorrow so I can just put this to rest. I am done stressing over this cycle.
