Hello ladies! I've never written anything on here before, but a little bit about me.. Im 38 weeks pregnant and working a miserable job that I despise. I just got a job a call to set up an interview for my dream job. Should I disclose over the phone that im very pregnant, or wait until the actual interview and she can see for herself? I feel deceiving not telling her over the phone but I also don't want to be discriminated against before she even meets me. Any advice?
Re: Job interview 9 months pregnant?
Good luck with your interview!
The only time I would tell them beforehand is if it's for an immediate position, but then again at this far along you shouldn't be applying for those.
Good luck!
Take the interview. I would be clear about your timeline..."As you can see, I am pregnant. I am due mid-April, plan to take __weeks off and will be ready to start working in mid-June. I hope that works well for _company name_ because I am very interested in joining your team".
I am currently in the interview process - with them knowing I won't be available until July/August.
If you are the right candidate, hopefully a pregnancy wont matter to them. If they need to fill the position immediately, you may be out of luck with timing - but they will tell you that.
Always take the opportunity o build your interview skills and professional relationships.

If an employer doesn't hire you on the basis of pregnancy then the employer will probably get creative and won't say that is why you weren't hired. It will probably be impossible to prove that your pregnancy was why you were not hired. But who wants to work in a place that is not accommodating to pregancy and parenthood in general? I don't!
I wish you the best of luck.... I hope you get the job!
