Help

Two Saturday's ago I went to the ER because I woke up vomiting , light-headed, nauseous & a bad stomach ache (no pain in particular). It was so bad, I was crying. After visiting the ER that morning , they said They "think" I have a stomach bug.... Well I left home hoping I would feel better. I called my ob and when I went in and saw her I was feeling better, now this past Saturday I went in again with the same symptoms and trouble eating, I was dehydrated.. They said I was fine and told me to go home and just wait until I see my OB, it's Tuesday and I have the same symptoms and I have the worst headaches ever!!! I feel like I am totally drained and taking all these antibiotics are not helping me. I haven't felt my baby move since last night, I called the nurse and she. Told me to drink orange juice and lay down. I did that and I just feel like my head is going to pop off and and there's still no sign of movement, I am 29 weeks pregnant and have not gained weight since the beginning of my pregnancy, my doctor knows it's an issue, but all the give me is nausea medicine and idk what to do I feel worse every day!!!!! I'm tired of getting blood drawn and taking nausea medicine with no actual sign of why I feel like my head is going to fall off and not being able to eat! Has anyone experienced this or have any advice that could help me? I try to eat things like yogurt and crackers that are small and nothing helps. I was already warned about preterm labor .. :/

Re: Help

  • I'm not sure why you are asking a bunch of internet strangers. It sounds like you are pretty concerned with you situation. If that's the case, you should be calling back you doctor with an update, and if you still feel like you are not being taken seriously, go to emerge.

  • Idk about the stomach, headache aspect but I would def call ur obgyn off hours nurse line about still not having movement!! Good luck !!
  • I did call my nurse and she said to drink orange juice and lay down, to keep taking my nausea medicine and wait until my next appoint ment, and I called the nurse practitioner at the ER that is seeing me and told me the same thing..
  • Do you have access to a fetal Doppler to see if you can hear the heartbeat? It sounds like you might want to pay a visit to labor and delivery if you are in need of knowing for sure that baby is ok. I was having decreased movement lately and doc said I need to increase my water intake. Especially in 3rd trimester. It's been helping. Good luck.
  • Go to the ER no movement is a big deal. Screw them ppl check on you baby.
  • Please go to Labor and Delivery or ER to check on your LO. Let us know. Hope you get some relief and everything is ok with LO.
  • They told me to stay home the orange juice should make her move. Which it did not , she just started moving a few minutes ago after I drank a cup of milk and had noodles. And my OB got me a spot tomorrow morning at 8 am to check and sure that everything is fine! Thank you ladies, hopefully they do something about it!!
  • Glad to hear your baby is moving.
