What swing to get?

So iv been reading reviews online about which swing to get baby girl. . Iv looked at traditional swings, then the mamaroo. I have read mostly good reviews on mamaroo but they are about 260 dollars! On the other hand I have read that they are space savers, which would be great because living space is tight. Any suggestions?

My only preference is that it can be plugged in rather than solely relying on batteries

If you are worried about space and money you should look into a simple portable swing. I had one with my son and it was great because it folded up. And it covered the basic swing function along with lights music and toys. They typically cost $50-$70. I think fisher price and graco are a couple of brands that have them.

Buy buy baby haas mamaroos a lot that are open box items or discontinued( last years model) and will often give you the open box price but a brand new mamaroo! I got one this way for 140$ plus 20% off, check it out- also yes it takes up very little space and it moves like a human would or a car would, which is something a back and forth swing can't do... Babies tend to like the things that mimic their everyday mvmts

Don't spend the money. Some babies hate swings and there's no way to know until you try it if you've got a swing hater or lover. Find one secondhand or a cheaper model, it's not worth $260!

I thought about the mamaroo, but decided on the Graco Brompton 2 in 1. It is a glider, and also has a removable seat with a vibration. To me, that is space saving bc I am getting two products that fuse together as 1. Also, if baby falls asleep in swing, I can move him to another room if I have to.

We were given the mamaroo as a gift. We set it up and played with the different features and are pleased thus far, but as said, we won't know until baby is here.

However, my sister has a small vibrating portable swing/rocker and she folds it up and takes it every where. That's not something the mamaroo would be good for. It has to plug in, so traveling with it doesn't seem overly convenient. We registered for a portable swing/rocker/vibrator in addition to the mamaroo we were given

We have a rock and play and also put a swing on the registry, I just cant remember the brand!

I got myself a mamaroo used! $60 bucks hardly used from the seller and it works and looks great! Maybe look up used on Craigslist/Facebook etc.
