Getting induced tonight!!!

so due to my lupus flare up im getting induced tonight im 38 weeks exactly and im not very dilated so im nervous anyone have any advice? I know every pregnancy is different, but how long did it take you? Was the pain really worse then natural labor? Any advice would be helpful and positive vibes are always helpful as well! Thanks im advance :)))

    I was 1.5cm after my water broke with my 1st. I had contractions that slowed and after 12 hours they started Pitocin(11pm) It made my contractions start and plateau instead of a nice bell curve. I had a hard time breathing through them because I didn't know when each one would end. I got an epidural within an hour of them starting Pitocin. I slept overnight and had my baby girl with no problems at 11:57am. You can do this! After all of it you will hold your beautiful baby and forget you were worried/scared/anxious at all. Keep us updated if you can :)

    Good luck!

    I was induced at 39w for both of mine so far (high BP).  I had the cervadil repening overnight for #1.  It threw me into an all-night series of BH contractions that did nothing to progress me but prevented me from sleeping well.  I was still barely a 1cm in the morning.  My doc broke my water in the morning and started Pitocin.  It was a long and painful process.  To get me into a good rhythm (2 min apart all-day-long contractions) I was on the max Pit dosage. I got an epi after stalling at 4cm for hours.  After that things progressed better.  Total = 30 hours from check in to delivery.


    My 2nd was easier b/c I didn't need the overnight stuff.  That was a 12 hour induction.


    Ask questions, keep as mobile as they will let you be, and try to relax to let your body do the work.
