Worth the $45!

just got my fetal Doppler in the mail. I watched a few you tube videos on how to find the heart beat, and also reminded myself that I might not be able to find it (which means nothing is wrong, I'm just not a tech!) but thought it was worth a shot! Well I took my time and followed what the video said on distinguishing between the placenta, my heart beat, and babies (obviously faster)!! I FOUND IT! It even read the bpm at 161 (just give it time to read accurately, while holding it once you find it!) which is close to the 169 bpm we got at the doctors. I def recommend getting one if you can afford it, and just be patient and have fun! If you don't find it right away, nothing's wrong... It just takes some time and practice!!!!

    That's awesome! I have been jealous of the mommas with dopplers so I have been considering it. Did you order online from some where? I am 13 weeks on Friday and still haven't heard the heart beat. I go to the dr next Tuesday and hope she checks with the Doppler they have there but would love one at home so I could check whenever I want!

    Which doppler did you pick up?  I was thinking about picking it up to so my daughter can experience hearing the heart beat.

    Just a follow up, went to the doctors today and they found baby in the same spot and their Doppler read the same HR of 161! So I'm def ALL for this Doppler and def recommend!!!!

    Oh man, I might have to buy one! I just entered my second trimester so you would think I'd be less paranoid, but for some reason my paranoia that something is wrong has escalated. I had my NT almost two weeks ago and everything was perfect, but I would love to be able to put my mind at east with a doppler at home!  :-\"
