I am currently on CD38 (AF is 1 week late) but had BFN on CD30, CD32, and CD34 with no pregnancy symptoms. So my question is should I wait for AF to show or start using my OPKs? When should I start testing with my OPKs again? Thanks for the help!
I believe I just explained this in a post below, but the date that you begin bleeding determines the start of your cycle. your cycle does not start over on day 28 just because it's day 28. It starts over when your period actually starts.
Your period is late and your tests are negative. That means that you ovulated later or haven't ovulated at all yet.
Did you use any opks earlier in the cycle? What were the results? You may continue to use them now if you think that you haven't ovulated yet.
Many people recommend using OPKs in conjunction with charting your temps. OPKs tell you when you have an LH surge. If you have an LH surge that means you might ovulated in the next 12-36 hours. Then your temps tell you that you did in fact ovulate. Temps will tell you about 3 days after you ovulated. See fertility friend.com and Taking Charge of Your Fertility by Toni Weschler.
Thank you for your response. I used OPKs when I thought was my fertile window but never got a clear positive so maybe I did ovulate much later than I thought. I have a very odd work schedule so it is hard for me to temp as I never wake up at the same time.
