I had my first ultrasound last Tuesday, heartbeat was strong at 164 bpm. It was so wonderful to see the heart beat, especially since I had 2 miscarriages prior to this pregnancy. During the ultrasound, my tech made a comment that the pregnancy sac (what a weird name for it in my opinion) was off to the right. Old wives tale says that's a boy. We've had 2 names per sex picked out for the longest time, but now that it's a reality, I'm not sure if I can stick with it. The boy name we have picked is Dodge David (both of our fathers are named David) but I'm a bit concerned that he'll get made fun of for having a car name. What do you guys think?

However, on the flip side, he could be the star quarterback or of whatever sport he plays and could be known as the "dodger" in a great way!
The name as itself and not associated to anything, I actually do like it!
It most definitely comes down to what you and your husband want and feel is right for your baby.
I usually try to avoid to say names with this one, because it really doesn't matter what other people think, in the long run. They'll love your baby and their name no matter what.
I still kinda like it though! Honestly it's your baby so as long as you like it then go for it!
I don't like the name. It makes me think of an old rusty truck with the bumper hanging off.
David is nice though.
I personally named my son Lyric and EVERYONE hated it besides me and his dad, but now, no one could imagine calling him anything else. It fits him very well and the name definitely grew on those who didn't care for it at first, now I get nothing but compliments on his name choice.

I actually have a bigger problem with gender neutral names or names that you constantly have to tell people how to pronounce....or spell, which I think causes unnecessary hardship on the kid.
