I'll start - I feel like total shiz today. Either I ate too much junk at work yesterday, or I am in early stages of hubs' stomach flu, or I am getting a taste of that super duper extra terrible heartburn / acid reflux you all have been complaining about. My tummy doesn't feel good, I keep burping, and my body in general hurts like it does when you have a fever (tho my thermometer says I do not have a fever). I'm about to leave for work, what a for real drag
It's allergy season here and the worst part is that at this time of year, you never know if you're suffering from allergies or a cold. I'm starting to think its a cold
Yes! Insomnia. I'm constantly tired and exhausted but I can never sleep due to being uncomfortable or my baby is just kicking constantly. At least in the first trimester I could fall asleep whenever I was tired with no problem.
Is anyone else having carpal tunnel problems in their wrist? With DD, I had numbness from my elbows down the last few weeks, but this time it's numb and severe pain in my right wrist. At first I thought I slept on it wrong, but I'm going on day 4, I can't even hold a gallon of milk with that hand. I have my 28 week appointment tomorrow so I'll bring it up, just wondering if anyone else is having the same problem.
Had my first baby shower yesterday, and today I am just exhausted! Plus I have tarsal coalition in my left foot and I can not walk at all it always hurt before pregnancy but is so much worse now
The right side of my bump is very tender. I think it's just RLP. And that's the place that Minion's head or butt (can't tell yet but I know it's a larger portion of his body) presses most frequently. It's been kind of annoying this weekend.
My ankles and feet are also starting to swell; it's very minimal at this point. The weather has just started to get into the 70s this week so I think it's more the increase in temperature at this point. I notice the swelling more at the end of the day after I go for a walk.
My back has been killing me the past couple of days. It's about midway up my back, in the rib area. My rib cage hurts. It feels really tight and I kept waking up feeling like my lungs were crushed. Plus I seem to have no motivation to do anything
Aw, @mellymar I hope it's "just" exhaustion and passes quickly once you rest... And not that stomach bug. Take care of yourself, lady.
Hope you ladies dealing with tough symptoms and work schedules get some relief soon.
I am feeling pretty awesome physically (having spent alllll day in bed!), but am not appreciating the 9 weeks, 5 days countdown. Have been really chill about most everything along the way, I'd like to believe, but DH and I are both definitely exhibiting some displaced anxiety symptoms these days! Maybe the combo of baby, new job, and international move isn't really the smallest deal we were pretending all along...!
My hips hurt sooo badly this morning. They're a bit better now, but now my back's sore. I am not a fan of the third trimester so far.
In reality, I have very little to complain about, though. I've had an extraordinarily smooth pregnancy and the symptoms that I have are all completely normal and expected pregnancy symptoms. I'm sorry for those of you who are experiencing things that are out of the ordinary or are feeling unwell for reasons aside from pregnancy!
I'll have to check with my doc on Tuesday about how bad this is, but I try to sleep on my side and the last few days I find myself waking up on my back. My insomnia has been pretty bad so I kind of want to just go with it as long as I can sleep.
Relatedly, I have a nerve issue where if I put pressure on a nerve the related limb will go numb - like carpal tunnel or Bell's palsy. I've had no issues until last night - I tried to sleep on my side and my belly is now weighing on the "underneath" leg and it started to feel tingly. Sigh, I had made it so far! I'll have to get the snoogle back out.

Edited because I can't type this morning.
I had pregnancy induced carpel tunnel with DS in my first and second trimester. Acupuncture helped me a lot. Hope u feel better soon.

I have tried sleeping on my side, but my one real ache is my expanding rib cage, which makes that hard. So I have been sleeping on my back a lot. My doc hasn't said anything about sleeping positions. I tend to trust my body, so if it's comfortable (and my doc hasn't said otherwise), I am not going to stress about it.
I slept half upright for a solid 1.5 hour accidental nap yesterday - two large pillows behind me - and that was some of the most comfortable sleep I've had lately.
TL;DR do ask your doc, but I am also on my back a lot. Maybe propped up back sleeping can split the balance and bring you some relief.
@KarasTwin - my middle back has also been killing me these past few days. I was just now thinking its time to think about redeeming my prenatal massages.
@amark11 - thanks for the well wishes! Feeling cautiously optimistic today as yesterday and last night was *for real* the worst I have ever felt this whole pregnancy. All day, all night I felt on the verge of throwing up. I was actually hoping to throw up just to relieve the feeling. Them around 4am I fell asleep and didn't wake up again for a couple hours and was able to eat some crackers and drink some water. Since then its been a slow upward trend so hooray for that. I'm also stressing the shortened time frame (my ticker is below 90 days to go! Yikes!) and have been constantly admiring of your cool while dealing with an upcoming baby and an international move. I'm sure you got it all on lock, tho, and will rock it.
@mellymar I'm thinking I may need one soon. DH did rub my back for a few minutes. I took a warm bath this morning and that seemed to help. Then jinxed myself by thinking how nice it was that I haven't had a headache in a few weeks and I wake up from my nap with a splitting one.
Haha, mine loves sticking her feet up around/in my ribs too! It doesn't hurt me yet, but it definitely feels funny at best and uncomfortable at worst at this point... I'm sure that once I get closer to week 40 it could get quite painful.

Bleh! Headaches are the worst, anytime. Now we can't really take anything I would consider effective against them (Tylenol? What a joke for even a modest headache, IMO. Better than nothing, but still so weak) they just suck all the more.
@mrs1374a - read about De Quervain's Tenosynovitis. I had similar symptoms and wondered if it was Carpal Tunnel Syndrome but got diagnosed with DQT. I have splints on both wrists cause EVERY anti-inflammatory gel says "not recommended for use during pregnancy".
Re: Saturday - Sunday symptoms 3/28-3/29
Edited - words, I missed some
