Angel care monitor vs Snuza

We lost our second son to SIDS 8 years ago. This baby was a surprise because we were sure we were done. Apparently the universe had other plans. I was given an Angel care monitor set. I'm so happy that I have one, BUT I am also interested in the Snuza. The Snuza is portable while the Angel care is not. But I also don't see having to undress the baby every time he needs to sleep (it clips onto the diaper). Has anyone else used the Snuza and worked this problem out?

Re: Angel care monitor vs Snuza

  • My sil has the snuza and I have to say its awesome, she clips it onto the outside of his pants, so he always has a pair pants on if they're in the car or out and about. It works just the same. Very easy!

  • Oh good lord-prego brain really took over on that one! Hahaha What a simple fix. Thank you @SassFrass!
  • I read a lot of reviews and decided to register for the snuza, some people say they have false alarms but I rather a false alarm then not knowing! So sorry about your son and let us know what you decide!
  • So sorry to hear about your son. We got the Snuza- friends told me it was the only way they could sleep through the night without worrying. Snuza and Angel Care are so similar- I just heard that Snuza tends to have fewer false alarms so I registered for it. I'm sure that both will work great.
  • So sorry for your loss. We don't have a Snuza but we do have the Angel Care monitor. I wouldn't have been able to sleep at night without it!

Thank you :) it's not easy and this pregnancy, especially this last bit, has been so hard emotionally. I'm not quite sure what to do yet, but thanks for the feedback!
  • We have been very happy with our Angel Care. In 2 years we've had 1 maybe 2 false alarms and my DS was literally at the foot of his crib lying horizontal so the sensor couldn't pick up his motion. Adjusting the sensitivity helped reduce this. It's scary to wake up to that alarm but I'd rather know I need to react. He was always okay.
I'm trying to figure out how to have two sensors without interference for our twin girls in each of their cribs.
I'm not sure how long you can use the snooza. I would imagine once babies roll they may fall off or be uncomfortable?

I never thought about the rolling over part. I just thought it would be easier because it's portable!

I I have both and this is my third baby. I use the snuza in the rock and play, swing, and car seat. Then, once baby is about 4 months old, I transition to the crib and use the Angelcare there. I do get false alarms with both, but don't mind them.
  • Used the snuza with dd, plan on using it again
  • I made the decision to have both available to me. I think both will get good use!
