I did acupuncture with my first to bring on labor and while it's impossible to know if it actually put me into labor I think it did put DD into a more favorable position and got my body ready. I had acu on a Friday and Saturday and went into labor early on Tues morn. The first day I had it done I was laying down at night to go to sleep and started having this terrible sciatic nerve pain (worse than labor) and I could feel DD moving around a lot. It finally stopped and I went to sleep. When I woke up the next morning DD had dropped and I don't just mean a little she had DROPPED, even DH noticed and he doesn't notice anything!
You might call your insurance, mine covered 90%! That's why I did it I figured what do I have to lose? It's really relaxing if nothing else. Good luck!
I've done acupuncture from the beginning of my pregnancy with this one- my first. At 36wks, I started going once a week. I'm a huge proponent of it as it helps to prepare the cervix, balances the blood flow, and helps to position the baby. Next week, we'll start on induction techniques as I'll be at 39wks and am preparing for a medicine-free birth. I'm the DC area of you are close & looking for a revomme
Thank you Im definitely going to give it a go my insurance will pay for it and im having terrible back pain with my lower right disc, so it would make sense for me to go
