I'm 41 weeks and 2 days pregnant. Haven't had any signs baby is coming and was scheduled to be induced today at 11am. I call at 10 am before I go in and they tell me they have no beds available. Are you freaking kidding me right now ! I'm so upset and can't stop crying and just want to meet my lil guy already. The best is for me to call back though if I do go in labor because they can't turn me away. You can find me a bed then and not now ?!

Rant over.. sorry! On a serious note am I supposed to call my dr? I don't have any appointments to go there because I was supposed be having my baby today. Not sure if I'll need more monitoring since I'm over due

Are you able to keep calling? Or transfer to a hospital with beds available? I'm 40 weeks, I can't imagine how you must be feeling since I'm already so anxious... keep calling or maybe tell them you feel less movement? See if thry monitor and decide to induce because of how far you are? Hmmm not sure... keep us posted luv

I know this is super frustrating-but keep in mind if there's anyway they could have safely brought you in they would have. (I work as a labor nurse and unfortunately this happens sometimes). At least on our unit we always bring the moms with medical indications (post dates being one of those!) in AS SOON as it's safely possible. Not sure about your hospital but if we have to postpone we will notify the doc, and more often than not will get the patient in later that day or the next. Trust me you dont want them to bring you in and start an induction without a nurse to safely monitor how you and baby are tolerating it. Again, sucky situation but hopefully all those laboring mamas will deliver and they'll get you in soon!

I'm so sorry that would be horrible. I would call the doctor though. Just to make sure everyone is following up on their job and at my OB once I hit 41 weeks I go in ALL THE TIME for stress testing ect. So if they can't get you induced today they may want to test again or whatever. I mean, doesn't hurt to check right?

I get induced tomorrow night and if this happens I will lose my shit completely.

Thanks guys ! I did end up calling my ob and they weren't aware, they thought I was at the hospital! I called back like they said and still no beds so I have to call again tomorrow at 7 am

I know the nurse's are trying there hardest to get me in. It's just so emotionally frustrating and I feel like I'm never going to meet this child lol

I would lose it! On top of the anticipation, your doctor's weren't notified which if you were being induced for anything other than being overdue it could be dangerous. So sorry and hope you get to meet your baby soon!

I had mine at 42 weeks 6 days I so feel your pain got induced then ended up with a c section
