Fur baby Friday

I love this thread, so I'm bringing it back for this week. Even tho unless we all have a farm at home, we've all probably shared most of our pets already, I figure we could use this as a place to swap funny or cute stories or just 'Awww' over pictures

That said - here is my funny Samurai story from earlier this week -
I'm putting away the groceries and I have the empty plastic bags on the floor. Samurai decides to stick his head in one. Something startles him, and he jumps, and since they are double bagged, when he jumps he ends up somehow with one around his waist. The noise scares him from him jumping and he bonks into the cupboard. The bonk scares him, his ass makes noise from the bag, and he takes off! Thru the front room! Thru the dining room! Back thru the kitchen! Into the family room! Behind the TV! All the way the bag is chasing him cause he's got it stuck around him.

I finally catch him before he runs back up the stairs into the kitchen and detangle him. Poor guy. His eyes were huge.

Missing my fur babies like crazy, but so happy to be able to keep baby girl baking for at least one more day! On the upside, the hospital allows my puppies to visit after the vet signs off on their health. If I make to 32 weeks, the hubby is planning to bring at least one of them to visit!! Here's some recent pics of the fur babies

My old man Toby. He's just started to recover from last weekend when we left him alone with my SIL for the first time since his best friend/brother died. He developed Stress Colitis and crapped all over the house because he was so freaked out. He hasn't been the same dog since Loki passed. Now we have freshly cleaned carpets and a nice bill from the vet. Poor fella.

Just click "attach file" and choose an existing photo from your picture library or take one after you click "attach file"

@lovethatcolosun - aw, bless his heart. I'm sorry he had to go to the vet, but I'm happy he is felling better now. It kinda hurts more, somehow, to see pets grieve for their housemates. I remember Samurai walking around the house, looking in all of Fun's spots, trying to find her. He was so bewildered, it broke my heart.

And, I just love older dogs with their gray muzzles and wise old eyes.

Well my pic is technically not my fur baby but lives at a nearby friends house and I keep telling my husband I need to go over for "therapy"

It broke my heart even more than it already was after Loki passed when he would howl nonstop if we left him home alone. I would come home after running an errand and he would be hoarse. He's better about it now, but it took him almost two months to adjust to being an only dog. DH wants to get a puppy so badly right now, but I have to put my foot down on that one until after DD arrives. It's going to be hard enough wrangling a toddler and an infant. Adding a puppy to the mix sounds like a plan for disaster if you ask me.

I'd love to bring a dog into the house, but I didn't want to try to adapt to having a dog while pregnant, and I know that realistically its going to be pretty damned hard with a newborn, too. Also, budget wise I just don't know how that will work out. And puppies are SUCH hard work. I don't blame you for waiting.

My dog is such a lap dog but doesn't fit on my lap at all! He still tries though...

ETA: I love this thread too and @lovethatcolosun I agree a new puppy would be way too much right now!

We decided to go on a quick getaway for spring break and had to board our pup. He's only 7 months old and already weighs almost 60 lbs, but has no idea he's that big. He was so excited to see us when we picked him up that he decided to ride home in my lap. Lol!!

This is my sweet kitty. She is so sweet and she just oozes cute. I found her in the woods starving and wild. I locked her in my room until she realized I Loved her and she's been my best friend from then on. Even my husband and his kids have bonded with her.

Oh and we are both going to be mamas again in June!! we even sleep the same.

Some of our animals... They get more and more needy as we get closer to baby coming.. Pedro (White cat) has taken to crying outside our bedroom door when I go to bed if I forget to give him snuggles and a kiss.. This from a cat that would barely come near you when we first got him.
