Strange belly discomfort - not round ligament pain

I have been experiencing weird feelings in my belly the last few days.  This is my first pregnancy and I am 13w2d with twins. I don't think it's round ligament pain because it's not a sharp or jabbing feeling.  It happens when I lean forward onto my belly (to tie my shoes while sitting on the couch) or sit/turn in certain positions.  It's almost like pressure/tightness.  Anyone have any experience with this?  It's not painful and I otherwise feel fine.  Is it just my growing uterus or something I should be concerned about?  Thanks!

Re: Strange belly discomfort - not round ligament pain

  • I believe it's just growing pains. I'm also pregnant with twins & my doc said I'll feel much more pulling and stretching than a singleton pregnancy. Think of all the things moving around down there!!

  • Thanks! That was my guess. It's just strange. They don't want me sitting in very many positions! I can't put my knees up to my chest or sit Indian-style anymore. It's definitely worse when I have to pee, too. Congrats on your twins!! So exciting :)
  • I'm feeling it too. I struggle to bend over because of the major discomfort. I am most comfortable leaning back, so there isn't too much pressure on my belly! I'm having twins, too. Congrats to you both :):)
  • Thanks so much ladies! Pressure is a good word to use. I agree, laying back helps. I'm just always used to sitting and laying scrunched up. They don't like shifting positions either. I've been sitting with my knees up and a stack of documents on my belly for about an hour... Just moved and it was very uncomfortable. I actually kinda like it though! I'm finally growing the belly I've been waiting on :):)
