A great breastfeeding book?

Hi! I haven't read anything on breast feeding yet but I've heard that researching will help me know how to manipulate my supply so I can nurse exclusively for a long time... which I want! It's not pure instinct like I thought. Any wise authors out there you've learned from and had success from their advice? Thank you.

My lactation nurse recommended two. The nursing mothers companion and breastfeeding made simple. She also said that the boppy pillow is too soft and she recommends a pillow called my Brest friend. I've gotten all three!

  • The lactation consultant recommended The Womanly Art of Breastfeeding (by the La Leche League) to me back when I had my son. I remember it being just fine and a good book to help me start with all the breastfeeding basics.  I hope to pick it back up soon before DD is born.

  • The Womanly Art of Breastfeeding, published by La Leche Leage. Also, Google to see if there are LLL meetings in your area. They're free to attend but you can also become a member and they can be very helpful!
  • Not a book but the website kellymom.com was my go to for all my bf questions the first time around!
