Shout Outs for your SO!

there have been a few sad postings regarding shady partners lately. I thought I'd start a topic where we can appreciate what our SOs do well for a change.

Mine helped me take off my "skinny" maternity jeans when my legs were so swollen I couldn't get them off. Yup I'm bringing the sexy like that.

What about yours?

  • Shout out to my boyfriend for buying me that cookie cake I really wanted but wouldn't get because I was so sure someone would some how know I'd be taking it home to eat on the couch while watching The Real Housewives & not wanting to share at all...

Double shout out because he asked for a slice each time & saved me from having to cry over it being gone
  • DH came with me to my massage today so she could show him how to support me during labor (I'm trying to go med free) and get me thru the aches and pains of the next few weeks. I know he felt kinda awkward, but he was awesome. He's also been doing the bulk of work around the house and cooking. I feel very lucky.

It cut me off!! He's even started packing our hospital bags! (OB gave us a list to go by). Couldn't ask for a better husband/baby daddy, lol! He's a FTDaddy and it's soooo cute!! O and he hasn't missed one of my drs appts yet!!! ❤️❤️❤️
  • I really appreciated my hubby the other day when it became official that I could no longer buckle the straps on my sandals. He had to do it for me.

  • @MamaMeg2 it's Breyers Slow Churned no sugar added (it has splenda instead of sugar). I was terrified that it would elevate my blood sugar but it didn't.
  • My boyfriend buys me ice cream everyday when I get off of work. He is perfecting back and hip rubs too :). He lets me lay across his back because that's the only position I found that comfortable and he lets me steal his pillows too.
  • DH has been so awesome since we found out I was pregnant. He's a first time dad even though he thinks of my 14 year old as his own. He cooks, cleans, let's be nap, runs our son around, and always arranges his day to get to the appointments. I did it alone with my first and I'm so blessed and thankful for DH this go around. Sounds like we are all pretty lucky! :\">
  • My DH has been picking up a ton of the slack around the house doing most if not all of the cleaning, 3/4 of the cooking, and taking care primarily of our 2 dogs (1 of which just broke her leg and needed extra care)! I am very thankful for him especially getting to the end when I don't feel like I can do much of anything other than work my regular job! Oh and he did the whole nursery all by himself, including refinishing a dresser, building bookshelves, redoing the closet, and putting the crib/decorations up! He has been Awesome!!
  • My husband had to be away for the first five months of my pregnancy. He called and sent messages every chance he could. He made a lot of sacrifices to build our future and never complained. He still has to travel a lot during the week for work, but when he's home he does everything he can to make life easier for me. Our baby and I are so very lucky.
  • My hubby has been keeping our house clean( not as clean as I would like, but very helpful) and he helps me put on shoes and socks!! Also when I got home from work the other night he had my new rocking chair put together for me! I love him:)
  • My hubby make my breakfast and pack my lunch everyday. He also go to the gym with me and wait for me while I work out ( he hate the gym and you would not see him there before). When I found out I have GD and was freaked out of needles, he told me he could prick himself too so that I won't feel so alone. He cook dinner and washes all my healthy salads and veggies so that I would just need to eat them when I'm hungry at work. He even help me cut my toenails:). He also put up with my nasty tantrum and hormones, love him so much. I feel so lucky to be with someone like him<3
  • My DH has done so much. He takes our daughter to school every morning. Which includes getting her up and dressed, making breakfast, fixing her lunch, and making sure she is in a positive mood. She used to be a horrible morning person. He has done the majority of cleaning in the afternoons. If I'm sick or uncomfortable he will take care of dinner too. Or at least not complain if he sees the occasional left overs. He hates left overs. And he tells me I'm beautiful and sexy all the same even though I feel like an overstuffed sausage. His back rubs are amazing and always freely given.
  • My hubby stood up for me the other day when someone made a remark on how big I am. He knows how that gets to me and has seen me get upset over it. Tomorrow is my shower and I wish so bad he could stay and help fend off the comments that I know will be coming my way.
  • I was put on bed rest the beginning of February for a kidney stone and bladder stent. My wonderful husband works all day and then comes home and takes care of me.

I also have to say my SO's parents are absolutely wonderful too.  About once a week my MIL comes over and also helps take care of me as well as help my husband get the house cleaned and cooks a couple meals for us so it's less we have to worry about.
  • Ohh I love this one. We should definitely all be bragging about our husbands. They put up with a lot!!
Mine has been so darn sweet in a million ways.
Tonight I ran out of hot water while filling up the bath (forgot to not start the dishwasher until after) so my husband came in with a bowl and poured water on me so I could stay warm. He's so sweet. I am so blessed.

My DH has made me breakfast everyday this week, massages my back and feet, has been cleaning the house for me and every time I get mad at him for something that's not his fault he apologies anyways haha. And he's been more emotional than I have, its the funniest thing (first timers ). There's this super bowl commercial were we see this dad raising his daughter and she goes off to the military. My HD cries EVERY TIME that comes on (we are having a girl). He also cried while watching our niece play, while watching Ever after, and pretty much everything cute. Its great :)
  • My DH rubs my back and shoulders when they are really sore. He ties my shoes for me since I can no longer bend over to do so. He also shaves me down there since I can no longer see it. Oh and he helps put lotion on my legs and back after showering. He is completely understanding when I say I'm sore and uncomfortable and makes sure he does what he can to make that better (getting me extra pillows or blankets, Tylenol, water, etc.) When I feel self conscious about my big 'ol belly and funny for waddling around he always tells me I'm beautiful and doing so well with the pregnancy. I sure love and appreciate him a lot!
  • My DH surprised me yesterday with a monthly massage subscription at massage envy and promise to care for little one so I can relax. I was impressed:)
