Not feeling pregnant, terrified of u/s next week :(

Hi everyone, I'm 9+1 today and not feeling pregnant at all. I had an u/s at 5w5d because I was spotting and saw only a gestational sac, gynecologist told me to go back after 10-15 days, but I'm so scared :(   I spotted again at 7w4d but didn't go to the gynecologist, I decided to wail until I'm 10w, I'm guessing that by that time we should definitely see something if there's something there. But I'm just dreading that moment :'(
I have no symptoms, nothing :(
Just needed to vent out..

  • It might've been too early to see anything else on your first u/s. I was 6 1/2 weeks along when I had my first u/s, and you could hardly see anything.

Not all women get morning sickness... You may be one of the lucky ones! Try not to stress out. Let us know how your next u/s goes! :)

  • I'm 9 weeks and 4 days and not for a second have I had any morning sickness, mood swings, food aversions, cravings, sore breasts. If it weren't for my weekly ultrasounds I wouldn't even believe I was pregnant at all. I have no bump...no bloating that I don't normally have anyways after a huge meal....i can now understand the show ' I didn't know I was pregnant' . Don't let that be the cause of your worry. You're lucky.

  • Thank you for your words, this is my second pregnancy, I had a miscarriage when I was much younger so I can't shake off this feeling that I'm going to get bad news...
I'll let you know next week, I have my appointment on wednesday, april 1st..

  • I'm in fear everyday too. I feel like I have a ticking time bomb inside of me. But I try to enjoy the thought of bring pregnant since I don't feel it. Time is also going so slowly. Just tell yourself it's out of your hands and try to imagine your baby in arms and other positive things.

  • Good luck. Many of us have been in your shoes before. I don't tend to get a lot of any symptoms and my doppler has been my saving grace!
  • I had basically the same thing and everything was okay!

I had an ultrasound at 5w/5d that showed only the sack, and then had spotting at 11w/1d and was called in by my OB for an ultrasound right away.  I too have had very few symptoms, and because I have had two miscarriages, I was nervous.  However, everything was just fine.

Try not to worry too much!  There are LOTS of people on this board who have had spotting, and more than a few who just saw the sack!

We had our first ultrasound at 7w6d and learned we were having twins. I am now 13 weeks and have not felt pregnant at all. That worried me like crazy. No sickness, no belly, nothing. We had a second ultrasound at 12w5d and I was prepared for both babies to have been "gone"... I'm happy to report that both are FINE and actually measuring a little ahead of schedule. Maybe you're just one of the lucky ones who will have an easy pregnancy. Good luck. I won't tell you not to worry, because you will. I think that's normal. Just know that I was in the same situation and all is well here!
  • I still have very little symptoms, and I'm now almost 12 weeks. My first ultrasound was around 9+3 and I felt exactly the same way you do. Like they weren't going to find anything in there. Sure enough, there was a baby and he or she was moving around like crazy. Some women just have it easier than others is what the doc told me...
  • I had spotting for several weeks, had an ultrasound at 5 weeks when I thought I was 6, and they saw a sac and just a glimpse of the yolk sac. At 7 weeks, we saw the fetal pole and heard the heartbeat, and it was around that time my spotting stopped. But I've worried since I had a missed miscarriage back in September and my nausea has been getting better, but yesterday I had another u/s and baby is measuring in time and doing great.

It's the most difficult thing in the world to count down the days and minutes between ultrasounds if you don't have anything else letting you know baby's ok, but by 10 weeks, you'll definitely be able to see something. Good luck!
