Natural birth vs C section

Is anyone debating this? All of the women in my family have had c sections. My husband says natural birth has a better recovery time. I'd like to hear pros and cons from mommas that have gone through either. I want to be prepared in case I have the choice. (No I am not having multiples)

Re: Natural birth vs C section

  • I had a natural, and within 4-5 hours after having him I was up and in the shower, feeling amazing (: !! A few of my friends had c sections, your husband is right natural deffinately has quicker recovery times, all my friends c sections weren't planned, and all after a natural birth was deemed a no no !!
2 of them had infections in the scar, and surrounding area of the incision from the section, and one said she didn't have any problems, just a prolonged healing, all said it hurt to cough, laugh, throw up, to move and get out of bed ! But all had no choice on getting them either ! I'm hoping and praying I can have this next baby naturally too ! My last was 9 lbs 7 oz, head circumference of 38.5 cms (: ! And I felt amazing afterwards !

  • I had a csection with my first and I'm hoping to have a VBAC (vaginal birth after ceseaen) this time. Recovery was awful with my CS. No stairs for two weeks, my scar hurt for months with no infection. Your body was made for natural labor. Go for it!
