Can your 2 year old make it through a whole movie?

At home?

DD will ask to watch Peter Pan or whatever and I'll put it on for her, but she NEVER makes it through the entire thing.  I'm not sure why because she typically loves TV and I have to pry her away.  I'm guessing that she doesn't follow the plot or something b/c she will watch the 25 min disney or nick shows with no trouble.

Re: Can your 2 year old make it through a whole movie?

  • No...Audrey can now at 3....Mitch at 18 months makes it about 10 minutes...same with kids shows.  he quits watching and starts playing with toys.
  • Loading the player...
  • no, he will usually only last about 45 minutes.  Anymore than that and he starts playing.  Full length movies take about 2 sessions with him, sometimes more.
  • She will for Cinderella.  That's the only one.  With her asthma, we have to do our best to make sure she sits and relaxes as much as possible (when she's having an attack).  Otherwise, I would hope that she wouldn't sit that long!
  • haven't tried a movie.  for 30 min kiddie shows he wanders about and plays. expect calliou, calliou puts him into a no move trance.

  • only for Arial.  She'll watch other disney movies, but she gets up and roams.  ariel is the only one she'll lay back and watch through.  And, she laughs at the right times, so she's getting something.  sometimes she won't sit through arial, but if she does, it's only for that movie.
  • DD does at the movie theater with her dad.  It depends on the movie at home.  Some movies yes, others, not so much.  If it had Dora, Max and Ruby, or Little Bear, I think she could watch it all day.
  • i doubt he could.  he's never watched tv.
  • Yes, she could at 2. Actually, I took her to her first theater movie on her 2nd birthday, and she was fine the whole time.
