I'm 34 + 5
My midwife says my little boy is still breech and if he doesn't turn they will try an EVC. I refused this as I am way too scared. So they said the only other option is a cesarean unless he turns, which she's pretty sure he won't. I'm absolutely terrified of needles and wounds. Please help! Has anyone ever had a cesarean and is it as bad as people make out? Has anyone had a baby turn after week 34? I'm terrified and nobody seems to be listening to me. I just need some reassurance instead of the horror stories #:-S :'-(
Re: BREECH AT 34 WEEKS. HELP!
Honestly there's just no good in getting yourself all worked up. Baby has got to come out one way or another, and even if you have to get a cesarean, holding your little one and having him safely in your arms forever after will make it all worth it.
Unfortunately that's just the truth behind it all...
I do wish you a smooth birth, whichever route you may have to take.
Also, depending on the type of breech, vaginal delivery is still totally possible. I'm surprised your midwife didn't mention that since midwives are normally more natural minded.
Check out www.spinningbabies.com for positions to try to get baby in the correct position and/or find a chiropractor in your area who is trained in the Webster technique. Those are natural ways to encourage baby to turn.
