I'm being induced in the morning. Last time I was checked, I was only 1cm dilated and 85% effaced. Did anyone else who was induced have such little dilation initially? Did you end up having to have c-section?
My doc is talking induction next week and I'm only a fingertip, couldn't even sweep membranes at 39.2. They would take me in the night before and start cervidil prior to doing pitocin. I think it will all depend on how your body reacts to the medication. You could dilate quickly and fully without any previous dilation
With my first I was only 1cm at 40 w and was induced due to pre-eclampsia. It was a long induction, about 36 hours. However, I was not in active labor for most of that time. it just took a long time to get things going. I did end up delivering naturally.
