I went to bed at 10pm and didn't think I'd wake up at 12:30am with my first contractions or by 2:00am have contractions 3-5 min apart already! I started losing my mucus plug Wednesday and delivered Saturday early afternoon. They had to break my water for me at the hospital. I really honestly did not think going to bed that I'd be holding our baby a little over 12 hours later!
Honestly no. I too was getting ready for bed and started getting contractions at around 12. I ended up going to the hospital at around 4 and soon after they sent me to the hospital at 9 bc i wasnt dilating. Funny thing i went again the next day and still went home two hours later. Finally, I was getting really strong contractions...the ones that really hurt and thats when I knew I had to leave. Once I got to the hospital they told me I was 3cm but I got my epidural a few hours later. I hate pain so I got my epidural at around 4cm i believe. They had to break my water once I got into the labor room and then I had my baby a few hours later! Pushing goes by so fast and by the time you know it, youll have your baby
I truly felt no different. It was only once my contractions started getting strong enough to be unable to sleep that I even believed I was in labor. I wasn't even timing them up until that point although I'd been having contractions all day. I just figured they were more of the same contractions I'd been getting for weeks! But others have mentioned feeling "off," so it's not unusual.
With my first I was out to breakfast with a girl friend and then driving to my family's ranch when labor started. I felt perfectly normal. Obnoxiously normal for being over due! Haha. we shall see about this time. Over due again. Argh
With my first two i felt off. I couldnt describe it, just weird. With my latest. I was just in alot of pain during the day and she was sitting really low. Linked it to a crazy night at work. Oddly i went to bed at 9 pm because i was so tired. Usually i go to bed at 12. I woke up at 2 am to pee and i was really uncomfortable and crampy. Dozed off and at 3 am woke up to my amniotic fluid everywhere
I was miserable. I'd been in early labor for a few days. The night before I had awful heartburn and couldn't sleep. I woke up about 2 am and barely made it to the bathroom before I projectile vomited all over the toilet and floor. The rest of the day I just felt antsy and emotional and easily irritated. I couldn't keep food down, everything I ate I threw up. My contractions started about 3 that afternoon
I was planned for an induction in the morning, so i had no thoughts of going in to labor at all. I had been at 3cm for two weeks and hadn't changed at all. So the night before I got everything ready, took a shower, and went to blow dry my hair in the living room since everyone was asleep...I was bent over in the recliner drying the underside of my hair, and my water broke. I had no contractions, no feeling off or anything! I guess my daughter was showing me who was boss lol no forcing her out, she was coming on her own! Had her 3 hours after my water broke
Thanks ladies! I was due the 25th and have had no signs at all, cervix is closed and I am so anxious! I'm hoping it just happens all of a sudden and I get to meet my sweet boy!
