June 2015 Moms

I have to vent.

Sorry, but I just to vent for a second. I'm laying in bed (2 hours now), unable to sleep because of 3rd trimester insomnia, ninja baby kicks and my husband snoring. I really want to hold a pillow over his face right now. Ugh. (No I would not actually do that, lol).

Re: I have to vent.

  • My husband and I very rarely now share a bed. I hve to lay in another room because my insomnia makes me fidget and annoy him haha, movies make pregnancy seem so romantic..
  • Loading the player...
  • To the couch with him!! Or you, if you have a comfy couch. I've actually been sleeping half the night in my glider (it reclines) so I don't keep hubby up with tossing and turning.
  • I just nudged him to stop the snoring. ...he headed for the couch. Whoops. ;)
  • I'm sorry! My dog used to sleep in the room with us but I swear he snores SO loud we had to kick him out and make him sleep downstairs, so no more waking up for me. At least your husband is nice and leaves to sleep elsewhere. I'm in the opposite situation, I'm definitely the snorer in the marriage. It's kind of embarrassing and I feel really bad for him....BUT this momma isn't sleeping on a couch so he can move if he has a problem lol
  • My fiancé just says "I'm going to go watch ESPN" and makes his way to the couch. Mwahahaha.
  • I "accidentally" bump into to DH hard enough to wake him :)
  • Mine just started the snorathon. I keep a stash of earplugs in my nightstand for occasions like this. He's got a bad shoulder that's really been painful lately so sleeping on his side isn't always an option.
  • My husband and I hardly sleep together anymore. I have become a very light sleeper, and he tend to talk/snore/move around in his sleep. It is basically impossible to wake him up. I just end up on the couch, which I find more comfy anyways. I just feel bad and that we are losing intimacy.
  • I'm so glad my husband doesn't snore. My dad does and I feel HORRIBLE for my mom because you can literally hear him snoring in his second floor bedroom from the basement in my parents' house. It's awful. The closest DH has come to that was about a month ago when he had a bad cold and did this super weird/creepy groaning thing. I definitely feel for you ladies who have to deal with snorers!

  • No snoring, but upstairs neighbor has a bad habit of dragging, moving, dropping heavy metal objects and stomping around on the creaky wood floor DIRECTLY above our heads. This happens regularly between 2-430 at least once a week. Tried to just deal with it because in a few months he will have to deal with a crying baby, but it is so loud it wakes us both out of sound sleep and keeps us up! Finally got fiance to send a nice text along the lines of hey guy shut the hell up. So we'll see.
  • I started sleeping w earplugs!!! It helps!
  • My hubs is not a snorer, but he falls asleep the second his head hits the pillow, or just about. Its SO frustrating. Especially for someone like me who even if I am terribly tired and have been yawning for an hour or more, I still take forever to actually fall asleep. I was like this even before pregnancy, and pregnancy has made it worse! He can also wake up in the morning and, say, go downstairs to feed the cats, go to the bathroom, and then go back to sleep. If I wake up, and its light out, I'm up. May as well go pee, cause I'm not going back to sleep. I can return to bed and goof off on my phone or read and maybe fall asleep again in an hour (like I am doing right now) but I can't drop into sleep easy. Watching him drop off to sleep like that so quickly makes me want to poke him awake and then pretend that it was an accident. So jealous....
